Chapter IV

"Follow me," Zayn said while guiding Louis and Niall through the palace. They went through a long corridor that led to two grand staircases. Harry and Liam took the one on the right, and Zayn, Louis, and Niall took a left. It led to the second floor, where all the bedrooms were. The floors were wooden, polished, and with red carpets in the middle. The walls were cream color, with golden details in the door handles and frames. Everything was ultra-clean, so much it felt pretty odd. Zayn noticed that Louis realized how clean everything was. "Alpha Harry left specific orders to the help of having this palace in pristine conditions for you." He said to the Diamond. "H-He did?" Louis stuttered, a bit surprised. "Yes, he said. "he needed this place to be perfect for you," Zayn replied to the blushing OmegaOmega. "Oh" Was all Louis could say before the beta interrupted him to present him his room. "Here's your room; all your stuff is already inside. I hope you like it!" Zayn said politely while opening the door. It was a vast room, with large windows and cream color curtains. It had a fireplace, a TV, a desk, a dresser with a mirror, a king-sized bed with two bedside tables on each side. It even had a sofa on the left corner with a coffee table. He also noticed that there were two more doors. He went to open them and saw a bathroom, with the usual things that a bathroom would have but much more extensive. It had not only a bath but also a shower; it had two sinks, with two mirrors ("that's weird," he thought) and a cabinet to store bathroom items. It was beautiful. He went to the next door. It was a walk-in closet, a huge walk-in closet. All of his clothes were there, and there were new ones too. Jewelry he would never use. Some suits, casual clothing, costumes. To say he was surprised would be an understatement; he was thrilled. "Wow, everything is so beautiful! Thank you so much!" The Diamond said happily to Zayn, but he quickly answered while chuckling softly."You're welcome, but I'm not the one you should be thanking. Alpha Harry was personally involved in the design and decoration of this room. He made every decision." Zayn explained to Louis, who widened his eyes and blushed, but he didn't try to hide it. "OMG, SEE?! I TOLD YOU HE WAS SWEET AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN LET HIM FINISH HIS JOKE! YOU'VE BEEN NOTHING BUT MEAN TO HIM! YOU'RE AWFUL, LEWIS!" Again, Artemis yelled at Louis, but he didn't growl back; he nodded and then said."You're right. I should probably go and thank him." Louis said while walking towards the door. "I'm sorry, my Diamond, but Alpha Harry won't be available until dinner later tonight. He is swamped right now, you see; leaving for two days leaves a lot of work to do afterward. Louis nodded and then sat on his bed."You must be exhausted from the trip. Why don't you rest here for a bit, and then I will come and get you with your pearl to take you to dinner?" The beta offered Louis. He nodded."Thank you, you're right. I'm quite tired," Louis said, trying to hide how overwhelmed he was. "My diamond, would you prefer for me to stay or leave?" Niall asked the OmegaOmega. "I know you're tired too; I think it's better if you go rest as well," He replied, smiling at Niall. Then both Zayn and Niall nodded and walked out of Louis' room. He closed the curtains and then got into bed. "Wow, I'm still processing all of this," He thought. "Please, Louis, I beg you, give Harry a chance! Stop being mean to him. He's trying to get along with you," Artemis said pleadingly."I know, it's just that," Louis started explaining but then sighed. "I don't wanna be an Omega, and he's all I ever wanted to be, and he doesn't even follow the rules or acts as an Alpha should; I feel like it's unfair," He continued. "But I know it's even more unfair from me to treat him like that when he's been kind to me."When he didn't get a response, he settled between the pillows and fell asleep without noticing. A night-black wolf was standing in front of Louis again. It wasn't looking at him. They were standing in the woods. Suddenly the wolf looked at him, and their gazes met. It had emerald green eyes. "Who are you?" Louis asked but didn't get an answer. The wolf kept looking at him but started moving away, but he wasn't moving. "No! Don't leave!" Louis cried. "Louis...Louis...Louis? Louis!!""AHHHH" Louis woke up and sat on the bed. He was sweaty, and his heartbeat was fast and robust. He looked to his right and saw Zayn and Niall standing there, surprised and worried. "Is everything okay, my diamond?" Zayn asked politely but with worry. "Louis, you were shaking, sweating, and yelling: Don't leave!" Niall said while imitating Louis' gestures. "Yeah, I'm okay, just a little bit confused," Louis said, getting out of the bed and walking towards the walk-in closet. "We have dinner now, right?" He asked from the inside. "Yes, my Diamond," Zayn answered. "You don't need to wear anything too formal," He continued.After being there for a few minutes, he came out dressed in a formal/casual suit; he wanted to look good at dinner. He wondered who would be there; he used to have dinner with his parents and Niall at home; no one else was allowed on the table. He remembered when he was around eight years old and invited an omega to sit with them. His parents made an exception just because he was kind, but afterward, they told him that no one else could sit with them because they were Royals. That didn't make much sense to Louis, but he obeyed nonetheless. Zayn guided Louis and Niall through the corridors of the palace. They were long and had multiple paintings decorating the walls. Some had beautiful landscapes, and others had family portraits. One of them, though, caught Louis' attention. It had a little boy with curly chocolate hair and emerald eyes. He was smiling and riding a horse."That's Alpha Harry when he was around six years old," Zayn said, noticing Louis's interest in the painting. "He's always loved horses," Louis smiled, nodded lightly, and continued walking. Once they were in front of a big white door, Zayn told them to wait there. "Announcing the arrival of Diamond Louis and his Pearl!" A guard shouted. The doors opened and revealed a perfectly set the table, with candles and delicious food. It was a long table that used most of the space in the dining room. The room was very tall, and its walls were cream color just like the rest of the palace, with various paintings decorating them. "Your Majesties," Louis saluted while bowing at the Luna and Pack Alpha. "Louis!" Harry stood up abruptly with a smile on his face. It made the omega giggle and blush, but no one noticed it. "Louis Dear, we were expecting you," The Luna said tenderly to the Diamond. "You see, this dinner is in your honor; Harry arranged almost everything!" She continued. Louis admired everything and sat down at the table across from Harry and next to Niall. "Thank you, Alpha," He said truthfully. "O-Oh, it's nothing, I just- wanted to... you know... do something special for you," He admitted shyly. "Well, I am very thankful," He also admitted trying to be kind to the Alpha. Harry blushed and nodded. "Your dining room it's beautiful," Louis added."Thank you, Louis; you see, we wanted to make the private one a little bit more cozy and personal. We're glad you like it," The Luna said. "Excuse me, um, you said private one? There's a public one?" The OmegaOmega asked, confused; back home, there was only one dining room. She looked at Louis and then laughed lightly."Yes dear, well, it's not public, but we use that one for big events and special occasions," The Luna explained. "Oh, okay, thank you," He replied politely. They had two? How much money did these people have? Maybe his parents were greedy, and that was the reason they had a much smaller palace. He was definitely going to explore the castle.During dinner, there was mostly small talk. Harry telling about his day and stuff like that until Luna asked what had to be asked. "So, Harry? Louis dear? Do you have a date for the mating? " She asked calmly. Louis spat out some of his drink and started coughing loudly. Harry just blushed and looked at Louis. "Well, we haven't discussed that yet," The Diamond replied after he had stopped coughing. "We haven't discussed anything at all actually," Harry added, sounding a bit hurt. "Oh, you should start planning because summer only has a month and a half left. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until next year to do it properly. Also, your Father wants to retire as soon as possible; his health is not being nice to him lately," The Luna explained to Harry and Louis. "Yes, Mum, we will," Harry replied, kind of annoyed, then looked at Louis again. He smiled awkwardly at him and mouthed, 'Parents.' Louis nodded and chuckled. After dinner, Zayn told Louis and Niall they had to go back to their rooms, so he started guiding them, but Louis stopped him. "Give me a moment, please," The OmegaOmega said to the beta. And then went towards Harry, who was talking to Liam. "Excuse me, Alpha, can I talk to you for a minute?" He asked politely."Yeah, sure," Harry said happily. Louis could feel Harry's inner wolf wagging its tail. "Um, I wanted to thank you for everything, dinner, the room, the palace. Thank you very much; you don't know how thankful and happy I am. Also, I wanted to apologize for my behavior earlier, I was insulting you, and you didn't deserve it. I'm truly sorry," He said, lowering his head as a sign of regret. "Apology accepted, the past is in the past, don't worry about it," The Alpha replied serenely with a smile on his face. Louis raised his head and looked him in the eyes. He then smiled back and felt his eyes water a bit. "Thank you," He said. "Goodnight" Then he turned around and started walking where Zayn and Niall were. "Goodnight, Louis," Harry replied while turning around and waving at him.
