After a long day of classes, Gia went back to her dorms with Alice. They got to the dorms and slipped out of their pumps and fell dramatically on their beds in unison. Alice sat up and went to her clothing rack to look for outfits for tonight. Alice took out a spaghetti strap black dress. Gia picked up her Duvet cover and slipped under it and looked towards the window and saw an owl holding a package and a letter tucked into the ribbons wrapped around the package.

The letter was sealed with golden wax and had her name written in beautiful calligraphy on the front. She opened the letter and it read

"Gia, I hope you like this. I thought it would look beautiful on you. I can't wait to see you tonight. - Cedric"

Gia opened the package to a lacey black dress. She slipped out of her day clothes and into the dress. It hugged her waist perfectly. The long sheer lace on their arms made them look more dainty. She sat on her bed to put on her crushed velvet black pumps when she was interrupted.

"Are we going to a soiree? Your feet are going to be killing you." Alice said, handing her the filthy trainers.

"I am not wearing my gardening shoes to a party Al. It's ghastly!" Gia said throwing the trainers into her open trunk and shutting it with the flick of her wand.

"Here take these then. I was saving them for your birthday." She held up another pair of shoes. They were black combat boots with a silver zipper running up the sides and silver buckles along the other sides. She put them on and they fit like a glove. She was her normal short height making her feel more stable.

"Their gorgeous, thank you, Al!" She pulled Alice into a warm hug. Something they didn't do often.

Gia went into the girl's dormitories bathroom and looked at her hair. It felt quite off. She pulled the silk ribbon out of her hair. She waved her wand in a circle over her head and her hair laid flat. Her perfect curls were now stick straight. Her black hair was so dark it reflected blue in certain lights. Her hair was no longer waist length; it now hit the middle of the back of her thighs.

She walked out into her dorm and all the girls' jaws dropped. Most of them had never seen Gia with anything other than curly hair. She resembled her mother more now. Their lips and chins were the same. If she was blonde she would be very similar.

There was a loud knock on the door and she waved the dark brown wand at it and it flew open. Draco stood there with his hand on the edge of the door frame and looked immediately at Alice than to Gia.

"You girls ready?" He said holding his hand out for Alice to grab it. Alice playfully grabbed it and spun herself into his arms. Gia was taken aback but ignored it. She interlocked arms with Alice and Draco on her other side.

"So Gee what's up with the hair?" he asked, ruffling up her hair. Something she usually would have hexed him for but she was abnormally calm. Her eyes darkened and she looked up towards him.

"Just trying something new Dee? Now shush before Filch catches us," she said running to hide behind a suit of armour.

It didn't take them very long before they were up in the Astronomy Tower. She, Draco, and Alice walked up, and heads suddenly turned towards them. They were considered "royalty" to most of the Slytherins even though Gia wasn't a pure-blood. She came from a long line of Slytherins, everyone except for her father. Draco, being her cousin, was a Malfoy so he was rich, had assets, and was very handsome even at the age of 14. Alice was an Olivander. She came from a long line of wandmakers and her mother and father died after a splinching accident when she was quite young.

Gia saw James spiking the punch bowl and walked over to him and socked him in his upper arm. She grabbed a glass to get some punch. But he handed her his that he hadn't taken a drink from yet.
