You stood there in shock. Never had you imagined you'd break up just like that. Maybe he really is interested in Byeol. You thought. That is the only reason you could think of because neither did he tell you any other reason and it made sense if he likes her.

Feeling tears filling your eyes, you looked up and blinked rapidly to prevent them from falling. You looked around and clutched your backpack's straps when you realised everybody looking at you with pity in their eyes.

But what you didn't notice was there, somewhere in the crowd was someone who had a smirk on their lips and was feeling successful and satisfied with what you were going through.

Not feeling good and focused anymore, you left the school obviously, after informing the office that you weren't feeling well.
Meanwhile, Jungkook ran to the rooftop after breaking up with you. He panted as soon as he reached the top. After a few seconds, the realization hit him and he thought about what happened back there.

Heartbroken... He felt heartbroken. It's over now... His head dropped down as he let out a few tears. He sniffled and inhaled deeply as he tried not to sob.

While Jungkook was deep in his thoughts, he felt a warm hand massaging the back of his neck. He didn't bother to look up because he knew who the person was.

"Why is Kookie crying?" He sobbed louder shaking his head, causing the elder to pull him in a hug. "Shh...everything will be fine." "No Tae. Nothing will be fine. It's over. Everything is over."

After a while of rubbing his back, Tae pulled away from the hug. Jungkook didn't even notice that the boys were now surrounding him.

"Why did you break up with her if you didn't want to?" Suga said crossing his arms. "What else do you expect me to do?" Jungkook replied straightening his back. "What do you mean by that? You love her so much an-" Jimin got cut off when Jungkook spat back. "Exactly! I love her so much...but she doesn't love...me back." "huh?"

Jungkook sighed. "A week ago, I and Y/n decided to ditch...you guys during lunch and spend some time together. But on my way, I met Tae and he started to drag me to the cafeteria. I sneaked out but all that stuff had me a bit late to the meeting or whatever with Y/n. But I went outside. And when I did, I saw Kai and Y/n hugging. I tried to think straight and not think too much about it but- the way they were so close to each other messed up my mind. I started to ignore her. Then one day Anna came and told me she was crying at the time because her parents got divorced and Kai was just comforting her. So I went to apologize to Y/n. It was my mistake to misunderstand and not talk about it."

Jungkook took a long pause. The guys gave each other looks before he continued.
"When I went to make up with Y/n, her and Kai were in a classroom. Alone. And it looked like they were about to kiss. I didn't have the guts to confront so I just. Came back."

He closed his eyes, and soon his lashes started getting wet again. It was as if he was witnessing the scene all over again. Just replaying the scene made his heart ache more than it already was. The others looked at him in pity.

Later that night:

"Let's do it at my house." "Yeah!! He is right!" "What flavour cake should we order?" "We should bake it instead of ordering it!" Jimin suggested. "Yah!! How will I bake a cake so big to feed the whole school almost!" Jin argued.

The boys were at Jungkook's house for a movie night and they were planning his birthday party which was after three days. They decided to do it at Yoongi's house because according to him, his parents won't mind as he lives alone.

Everybody was very excited, planning the theme, cakes, decorations, and invitations. Everything was decided but Jungkook didn't seem to take interest in the conversation.

"Hey, Kook! Can I invite two of my friends?" Tae said, pulling Jungkook out of his thoughts. "Yeah, sure."

Time Skip - Birthday Party

You entered the house and were met by blasting music and a crowd of mostly drunk people, some you knew, some you didn't. You came here with Anna.

You were still curious how Jungkook let you come to his own birthday party so easily. You and Anna were walking through the school hallway when Taehyung stopped you guys in your tracks and invited you to the party.

And when you asked how come Jungkook allowed you he said Jungkook doesn't really care who comes.

You were planning on not going but then Anna started whining and sulking because she REALLY wanted to come as her 'crush' had invited her himself so it is nearly impossible for her to deny his offer.

You didn't see Jungkook neither were you planning to since it won't be nice to create a scene in a crowded birthday party like this.

You went to the restroom to freshen up your look. It wasn't supposed to be hard for you to find it but because of the decoration and all, you got lost.

On your way, you let out a gasp when the sudden grip on your wrist pulled you in a room and pinned you to the wall with their hand on your mouth to prevent you from screaming. You blinked your eyes a couple of times to adjust to the different lighting.
