Today was the first day of our new school ,and I decided to wear my black tank top, black shorts, red checkered shirt, doc martens and fedora hat, with lightly applied makeup.

"Daniel. Y/n." I heard ma shouting us both, to be honest I'm nervous and hopefully Daniel has a good excuse if he gets caught with the bruise on his face.
"Morning, Ma." I greeted trying to sound enthusiastic about today which I wasn't. "Morning sweetheart, you look nice." She complimented sweetly, I smiled innocently as she put breakfast in front of me, I munched into my toast.
Ma was about to shout again until the 'hero' himself finally was dressed. I saw that he wore sunglasses to cover his eye which I thought wasn't a bad idea, but wondered if ma would notice and that's what I'm hoping wouldn't happen.
"Morning Ma." Daniel replied distractedly looking in the fridge. "How was the party?" mom question in a happy tone.
"It was okay." He replied trying not to act bothered like It went well which we both know didn't. "Come on, it must have been more than okay, I didn't here you both come home," me and Daniel awkwardly glanced at each other when ma wasn't looking.
"Any friend material?" ma asked and I managed to let out a snort replying sarcastically. "Oh yeah, he definitely made some friends." I said amused.
Before Ma could question he butted in "Yeah, some couple of guys." He took his toast and I rolled my eyes at how bad his lying is.
So I decided to help him out by pulling him to the door whilst taking our breakfast "We gotta go." I explained to mom for the both of us. But Ma told us too sit down and eat as we needed our energy to be charming.
"Ma, I'm not hungry. I'm fine, I've got energy." Daniel said grabbing his bag, I pulled him by the arm so Ma wouldn't get suspicious, but I had a feeling she knew something was wrong.
"Daniel do me a favour." Ma asked politely. "What?" Daniel asked. "Take off the glasses." Ma asked again politely. "Why?" Daniel asked nervously. "Because I asked you to." Ma replied if it was obvious.
"Come on ma. It's California..." Daniel started stuttering. "Come on take em off. I wanna see your baby brown's." Ma asked which made us both freeze. Daniel recovered quickly by saying
"Ma, come on with the baby browns alright." "Are you on somethin'?" She questioned suspiciously, making me let out a little laugh.
"Yeah, ma. Minute Maid that's it." He sarcastically commented, going to leave. "Why are you hiding your eyes?" Ma asked seriously.
"I'm not hiding my eyes." He said irritated. "Then take off the glasses." Ma asked again annoyed that my brother's not listening. "Ma, come on.." Daniel said stuttering again, until Ma eventually snapped "Now!"
Once she saw his face I visibly winced at how worse it had gotten, whilst mom had a look of panic rushing over and asked.
"Oh, my god. How did that happen? Huh? What happened?" and he said. "I hit a curb with my bike and then it hit me, I wore the glasses cause I didn't want you to worry. It's looks worse than it feels." He said.
