When was the last time I brushed my teeth?

Feeling around for my phone, I struggle to get up so I just stay lying down. Pushing the home button I wince trying to adjust to the blinding light.

Wait what.

I tug my journal out of my nightstand draw, careful not to disrupt anything on-top, and flip through the slightly worn pages.

It says I've already scrawled down my notes for 'today' even though I just woke up. How does that work?

I realise I've already written all this down so I must've gotten everything confused. Quickly, I skim over the words to find I did indeed write them.

Hmm, seems like I did well in my test. Wait why am I talking about my test like it's not my own? What am I even saying now?

"Your awake, good." My older sister comes to sit in the end of my bed.
"I wish you well on your test today," she smiles patting my leg.
"I'm confident in you."

"Another test? Yikes two in a row now." Another test?
"What do you mean it's two in a row? It's Monday big brain." Oh shoot, I've really messed the dates up now.

"Whats that face for? Shouldn't you be looking mad at me? But actually, you look like you've been dunked into a spa then-"

"Please stop talking and asking so many questions. If you don't mind letting me get ready?"

"Oh yea, of course. Love you sis." She plants a kiss on top of my head in a motherly way and walks quietly out of my room.
"Love you too."

Big sigh.

How is my brain going to cope with a test, let alone figuring out the order of the days of the week.

My blinds are holding back the soft, yet strong glow of the rising sun edging its way along our sky. The turning rod being only inches from my face, I decide to let the world engulf me.

I yawn at the arrival of my stairs, and proceed to force myself awake. The tiles in the kitchen are cold, sending a dramatic shiver over my body.

I get myself a bowl of cereal to leave on the bench. As I stare at the calendar hanging on the wall whilst I toy with my spoon.

Now that the cereal has gone soggy in my bowl, I can inhale it in seconds. Yum! I always wait for it to turn to mush before I consume.

The clock echos through my silent, yet slowly coming to life, house. It's lulling rhythm making my eye lids weigh a truckload.

Attempting to stay awake I head upstairs and
get my gear together, then look through random apps on my phones till my mum comes to join me in her car.

"Ready for school?" I get the millionth question for today, whilst the car staggers to life. Everything in the car has been recently organised, so I look for my CD collect in the glovebox instead of the centre.

"Yup," Nope.
"I'm ready." Im going insane.
