Can't Let Go

Part 14

A/N: Long chapter😏

NO! SHAWN! I thought when I heard the slaughter noise.

I was looking around for a weapon of some sort. I narrowed down to the metal gray shiny bar. I picked it up and carefully walked down the stairs slowly not making any noise.

I saw Shawn still alive, whew, the person still have the knife behind his/her back, and Emily was tied up with ropes in a chair.

My anger got off the charts. Without thinking I started charging towards the person but, he/she turned around and pushed me down and held the knife against my throat.

"NO! TAYLOR!" Emily yelled.

Shawn held on to the person and pulled him back to get off of me. The person hoodie and mask fell off. It was a guy.

"Ryan...." I heard Shawn mumbled.

"Wait. Ryan?" Emily said.

I was really confused.

"Wait...what? Ryan?" I said confusedly.

Out of no where Ryan swung on me.

"Sh-" I said faintly.

He hit my jaw so hard it felt like it moved out of place.

"RYAN! STOP!" Emily shouted trying to get out.

Shawn pushed Ryan and kicked him in the stomach. Ouch.

I got up and try to help Emily out but I don't know Ryan keeps getting Shawn.

He grabbed Shawn's arm and spin him around and let him go. He hit his head on the bar.

• Emily's POV •

I saw Ryan spinning Shawn around and letting him go.

"SHAWN!" I yelled in tears.

Ryan was laughing then, Taylor body slammed him. Suddenly, the police came. It was weird because they were dressed up as if they were homeless.

The police arrested him. And Taylor and Gilinsky helped me out of the ropes.

I ran over to Shawn and placed his head on my lap.

"Shawn. Please wake up." I cried.

The ambulance arrived on the scene.

"Madam, can you please let go of the patient." Said the Man.

** A Week Later **

• Emily's POV •

"Emily. You have to go home. You've been here since it happened." Said Carter.

I just kept staring at the window ignoring whatever Carter said.

"Emily." He demanded.

I couldn't take this I cried into his shoulder. He comforted me.

"Shh. It's ok Emily. He's going to be ok." Hayes said trying to call me down.

"No it's not," I said.
"Because of me. My best friend is in a freaking coma!" I cried.

Taylor saw me crying and sat next to me. I transferred to Taylor's shoulder from Carter's. Taylor had his arms around me and rubbed my shoulders.

The doctor walked up. I wanted to get up as well but, Taylor made me sit down with Carter and Hayes.

• Taylor's POV •

I made Emily sit down with Carter and Hayes.

I walked down the aisle with the doctor, Dr.Smith.

"Yes doctor." I said.

"Well Mr.Caniff. Mr.Mendes is still in the danger mode." He said.

"What?" I felt like crying.

"Yes Mr.Caniff. I'm sorry." He said and left.

I started walking slowly. I had started asking myself a bunch of questions.

What will happen to Emily?
What if Shawn never gets out?
What will happen to Shawn's parents finds out?

I started thinking negatively. Johnson and Matt bumped into me. They got me the nod meaning what's up. I told them everything.

"Are you serious?" Matt asked.

I saw Johnson about to cry.

"Guys don't tell Emily anything." I said.

They both nodded.

"What....." I heard a voice said behind me.

I turned around and saw Emily.

Emily ran away from us.

"NO! EMILY!" I shouted chasing after her.

She made her way to the Ladies room.

"Emily. Come on." I said as I hit the door with my hand.

I heard her crying.

"Hello. Emily. Can you hear me." I said as I put my ear against the door.

The crying stopped.
