One of Pastor Chuck Smith's favorite sayings was: "If God guides, God provides.", this quote led him, his wife Kay, and his church on as they did the work of God despite criticism from both fellow believers and nonbelievers. This was and is still something that I believe is extremely important for us all to do. If we continue to follow the herd of this world (everyone who surrounds us), we will continue to live in sin, depression, evilness, death, and always dissatisfaction on every level of our lives. I believe that, all men and women are the same, despite the color of skin, the culture we grew up in, we all have a deep longing to know God, to know His ways, and to be accepted by Him. God has made all of us like this for the purpose of bringing us closer to Him, because He doesn't want anyone to go to Hell, but, He also gives us all a free will to do what we want, to accept His loving and gracious gift of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ, who died for us on a cross, and then rose from the dead after three days in a grave, and ascended into heaven to sit on the right hand of God His Father, or to not accept His gift and continue in sin as if we never heard about His message to us, this is called iniquity, which is when we know we have done something wrong but don't do anything about it by repenting to God for our sins, when we sin ignorantly, it's when we sin without knowing what we have done wrong, that's why we need to daily, hourly, repent to God for our sins, repenting for things we don't even know we have done. This is a prayer you can pray to God to accept His free gift of salvation into your life, just pray to Him as if you were talking to a friend:
"In Jesus name God Almighty, I repent of my wickedness towards you by not obeying Your commandments, and I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, I believe that He died on a cross and rose from the dead after three days and ascended into heaven to sit on Your right hand. Thank You God for accepting me into Your loving arms. In Jesus name I pray, Amen"
When you've accepted God's free gift of salvation it's the best feeling you can possibly feel down here on earth. To grow closer to God you need to start reading His Holy Word called the Bible, if you don't know where to start, start with the first chapter of Genesis (the first book of the Bible) to the last chapter of Revelations (the last book of the Bible) which will give you a great understanding of God's Word. The only version that is the most accurate is the King James Version (KJV), if you aren't able to find a Bible, you can read it online on kjvbibleonline.com this is very helpful and it even has a free Bible dictionary for words you don't know and you can even use the dictionary to search different topics in the Bible and it'll show you reference verses. God loves you and all you have to do is accept His free gift of salvation.

If you feel compelled to take your first step towards God, you can do that right now wherever you are.
1. Acknowledge the Problem: We have all sinned, and that sin separates us from God
No matter how good you think you are, no matter how many good things you try to do, it is still not good enough to get into heaven; it can't be earned but is a gift.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23"And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness; all these evil things come from within, and defile the man." Mark 7:20-232. Discover the Solution: Jesus
