Enemies

""But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:"Matthew 6:20 GOD really likes to tell us not to keep our thoughts on the glory and honor of this world, but to keep our eyes on HIM, that's the most important thing we can ever do, being obedient to GOD in everything that we do and are.
James 1:2"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;"King James Version (KJV)In this verse, GOD is telling us to count it joyous when the temptations of this world come against us, and they do come, they come in many different ways, food, people, things, anything that you're having a problem with are the exact things that GOD will send against you to test you and to prove you, to see whether you will serve HIM, or not. This reminds me of one of my favorite verses:Deuteronomy 8:2"And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no."

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"
Matthew 5:44 (KJV)

JESUS really told us all something powerful in this verse, it can be tough sometimes loving those who hate us and deceive us, and even speak poorly of us and even those who physically and mentally harm us, but being obedient to GOD'S commands is truly loving GOD, if we say we love GOD, but hate each other, how then can we expect GOD to forgive us and accept us into heaven?" said Mr. Jacobs to his Evangelistic Studies students as his closing statement of his already 2 hour lecture.

"Wow, that was some lecture, right Brenton?" said Jason as he was getting up from his desk.

"Yeah Mr. Jacobs really has a way of showing you how to grow closer to GOD by being obedient to HIM." replied Brenton.

As the students left the lecture hall, Mr. Jacobs began cleaning up after them and then went to the Professor's Lounge for some tea and scones. Just as he was walking out the hall, he was hit in the back of the head and fell down unconscious. He was dragged back into the room slowly.
