I got this journal for my birthday last summer before school. I guess I never had a use for it until now. I, Hinata Shouyou, have just started attending Keio Academy in New York, as the first in my family to ever study overseas. It's a little strange, when I was little my family moved to England, and I attended international school there, but I have decided to go to Keio University in Japan, so that led to me coming to New York. I'm writing in here to just kind of keep track of everything I'm doing so I can tell my family everything when we talk.
I'm currently staying in the dorms, with no room mate. His flight or whatever got delayed so he won't be here for a couple of days. So until then I can wreck the room and take up as much space as I want! It's a little lonely though, but I'll get used to it.
The classes aren't too bad, maybe because I've been in these types of schools all my life... Anyway, I'm learning so much, and it's only the first day! I'm excited to make friends in my classes and join clubs and take care of my own life without my parents help. I'm being independent! It's a nice change.
I'm a little sad they don't have a volleyball club here, but I'm sure I can still practice in the gym or somewhere. Maybe I can join a team seperate from the school... I don't know yet.
Well, it's late, and I should probably get some rest, it's going to be busy these first few weeks, maybe even months! Wish me luck, whoevers reading this!
