Travelling tip #1: Never take direct flights across the world. Spending over 11 hours in one confined space can make even the calmest people turn into monsters.

I got this little leather book as a going away present from my friend, Hitoka Yachi. She believes I'm going to become some genius author someday and need to practice as much as I can. So to make her happy I'll be using this whenever I feel like it. I wouldn't expect too much if I were her.

Well, to start things off, my flight got delayed so I missed the first day at my new international school. I'm the first person in my family to leave Japan to study abroad. I hope they won't be too worried, they know I can handle myself on my own. I'm mature and responsible, unlike most others my age. All I'm trying to do at this school is get a better education and better opportunities than what's offered back at home. My parents expect me to be some violin prodigy, while my friends want me to become a talented writer. I honestly don't see what either of them see's in me. Personally writing sounds better, but for now I want to make my parents happy.

Well, it's been a terrible, exhausting day, and I still have a flight that leaves in about 5 hours, so I guess this is where I stop. I just hope I can get to New York before the end of the week.
