From bestfriends, to lovers~ (Ray x Emma)

Chapter #5

It's been almost 2 weeks since Conny first came to the Orphanage, and Emma introduced her to everyone.

She was doing well without worrying about her thoughts for awhile. It was like they didn't exist, but she knew they did.

Meanwhile, Ray was in the Library, reading a book. He wasn't trying to find a certain one this time. He was just simply reading for sport.

Ray didn't forget about what he wanted to understand from Emma, with his feelings, but he decided to take a break, and he did so ever since Conny came, a lot like Emma.

As he was reading in the back of the Library, near the window... someone walked in and came towards him.

"Did you need something, Don?" he said, without removing his eyes from the book.

Don looked at him, as if suprised he knew it was him without having to look, but he was quick to shake that thought out of his head and take a seat across from Ray.

"I have something I want to talk to you about!" Don, said.

"Yeah, what's up?.." replied, Ray.

"I.."

"You?"

Don then closed his eyes tight, as if thinking of what he wanted to say. He then slammed both hands to the table, sitting up and almost hovering over his side of the table.

"I think I'm in love with someone!!"

"In lo-" before Ray finished, he paused and felt his heart beat a bit faster then usual. He felt like that word, the one he thought meant nothing more then wanting to keep a friend happy.. really was different.

"Ray, you okay?" said, Don, snapping ray out of it.

"Yeah.. I'm fine, sorry.." Ray, replied once again.

"So.. who do you think your in love with, Don?.."

"...Gilda.."

"Gilda?.. why her?"

"I don't know.. but I felt like this for awhile now, just didn't know how to talk about it with anyone!.."

Don put his head down, and took his seat again, still his eyes closed. "but I have no idea if she feels the same way about me or not.."

"I see. Don, listen.."

Ray sighed before finishing.

"How do you know what kind of love you're feeling?"

Don reopened his eyes, and was staring at Ray, curiously.

"Why ask that all of a sudden?" he asked.

Ray turned his head to the side fast, with sweat building up on his forehead.

"Well anyway.." Don, then said.

"I don't know how to explain it, but.. it's like when you feel that you want to keep that one person happy at all times, even if it meant risking everything else.."
