the party had brought the strange girl to mike's house. mike gave her his jacket and she was now sitting on the couch of his basement.

"is there a number we can call for your parents?" mike asked her.

"where's your hair? do you have cancer?" dustin gaped.

"dustin, you can't just ask people if they have cancer," y/n scolded him.

"did you run away?" lucas was the next person to ask a question.

"are you in some kind of trouble?" y/n questioned.

"is that blood?" lucas reached his hand out but mike smacks it away.

"stop it! you're freaking her out!"

"she's freaking me out!"

"i bet she's deaf," dustin stated before clapping in her face making her jump. "not deaf."

"all right, that's enough, all right? she's just scared and cold," mike said before going to grab a spare of clothes. the thunder rumbles loudly and the girl winces, lucas, dustin and y/n looked at her confused. mike comes back and gives her the clothes. "here, these are clean. okay?"

she rubs the clothes on her face gently before setting them down beside her. she stood up and began to take off her shirt before y/n quickly stopped her from doing so as the boys exclaim in shock. lucas and dustin turned around as mike pointed to the bathroom.

"see over there?" mike stammers. "that's the bathroom."

"privacy," y/n added, slowly removing her hands off of her. "get it?"

mike leads her to the bathroom and went to close the bathroom but was stopped by the girl. he decides to leave the door open by at least 3 inches.

"this is mental," dustin commented.

"at least she can talk," mike defended.

"she said "no" and "yes." your three-year-old sister says more," said lucas.

"she tried to get naked," dustin reminded.

"there's something seriously wrong with her," lucas added. "like, wrong in the head."

"she just went like..." dustin does an impression of the girl trying to take her shirt off and his hat falls off.

"i bet she escaped from pennhurst," lucas remarked.

"from where?" y/n questioned.

"the nuthouse in kerley county," he explained.

"you got a lot of family there?" dustin asked jokingly.

"bite me," lucas sneered. "seriously though, think about it. that would explain her shaved hair and why she's so crazy."

"why she went like..." dustin does the impression again.

"she's an escapee is the point. she's probably a psycho."

"like michael myers."

"exactly! we should've never brought her here."

"so you just wanted to leave her out in that storm?" y/n retorts.

"yes! we went out to find will, not another problem."

"i think we should tell mike's mom," dustin said.

"i second that," lucas agreed with him.

"who's crazy now?" mike questions.

"how is that crazy?" lucas asked back.

"'cause, we weren't supposed to be out tonight, remember?" he reminded.
