The July summer heat was blazing at the garage, the shop had closed and all the Samcro members went into the clubhouse.
Sage spent most of her summer days helping out Gemma at the office with a part-time wage, although Sage didn't want it, her Aunt was not a person she wanted to argue with. It was a small distraction from Harry, even though he worked full-time here, they didn't run into each other much. He was either inside the garage or dealt with the repo list while she stayed in the office . Her heart ached ,feeling the loss of a friend. What made it worse is he never told her why he has avoided her, she already knew the truth , but he never told her himself and just left her hanging , plus he was now dating a girl from high school named Donna. The two would occasionally say hi or wave to one another, but no deep conversation like they use to.
Her heart strings pulled at her as she sat on the sofa in the office and looked out the window, chugging a bottle of water.
"you okay baby?" Gemma asked her niece
" Oh ... yeah just thinking about Uncle John" she only half lied , she did miss her Uncle deeply
" You were like a daughter to him , and look at you! You look so grown up!" Gemma smiled as she returned her attention back to some paper work.
Sage's phone dinged, opening her text messages :
" Hey Sage its Bradley from the football team, I'm probably taking a huge risk texting you this , I just wanted to say that I really wanted to ask you out , BUT your friend Harry Winston warned me and some other guys to steer clear of you or he would beat the shit out of us. Thought you should know"-Bradley
Rage boiled in her blood "Aunt Gem where's Ope?"
"Chapel"
Sage stomped her feet and stood up and bolted out the door
" Sage you can't go in there while they're at the table" Gemma yelled after her
" WATCH ME" she slammed the clubhouse door open , walked past the bar and over to the chapel doors and swung them open as the prospect named Juice tried to stop her but failed
"SAGE YOU CANT BE IN MY CLUBHOUSE,INTERPRETING MY CLUB WHILE WE ARE IN HERE! SHOW YOUR UNCLE SOME RESPECT!" Clay yelled
Turning her head looking at Clay with fire in her eyes "YOUR CLUBHOUSE? YOUR CLUB? THIS IS JOHN TELLERS CLUB! JOHN TELLER IS MY UNCLE ! NOT YOU! YOU WILL NEVER MEASURE UP TO HIM !!!" Sage yelled over top of him speaking truth .
Jax raised an eyebrow and Piney gave her a wink
Looking over and pointed at Opie " You and I need to talk! .... NOW!"
Hearing an " Oooohh " from the crew as Opie stepped out next to the bar and straddled a barstool.
Sage stood there with her hands on her hips. "Bradley just texted me... Said that he wanted to ask me out, but apparently you threatened him and a few others.I'm NOT yours Ope!!!"
Opie shrugged " They're not good for you ,so what's the problem ?!"
" Are you Serious Ope? You ghost me for weeks without a reason!!! I know you're with Donna now, but that's no excuse to just drop me without a word out of your life without a warning. I love you Ope, you're my best friend , but you have NO say on who I CAN or CANNOT go out with. You LOVED me in the past, you HAD a very long crush, you got over it and moved on, but I have boundaries Ope and you cross the line" she turned her heel to walk away and he cleared his throat and spoke up
" LOVE, not Loved , I'm not over you, yes I'm with Donna , but a huge part of me is still IN love with you Sage Teller! I'm NEVER gonna give you up regardless who I'm with"he spoke loud and clear as the crew looked like they were watching a romance tv show scene.
She Turned to him and shook her head 'NO'
" You can't be in love with two people at the same time Ope! it's not right! You'll always be my best friend, a best friend that I feel like I lost a few weeks ago for whatever reason, what did I do ? you never told me. Remember your promise? You promised me you would never say goodbye, said you would never make me cry. Well... You broke that promise" tears roll down her face as Opie watched her cry .She stepped out of the clubhouse sobbing , She needed time alone, time to think. She wanted her mom.
