At the TM Garage:
" That's the last of it " Jax told Her as he placed the last boxes of her belongings into her new used truck that all of her family pitched in to get her for her 18th birthday.
She had the ' Almost perfect' senior year , getting straight A's , working her Butt off at Scoops, the garage , baby sitting and house cleaning ... her savings added up. Making time with her friend Sky before she left for New York .
Sage threw her duffel bag and purse on to the passenger seat . Sweating as she pulled her hair up into a messy bun , her nerves were shot as the July sunshine was beating down on to the Parking lot asphalt.
" Thanks guys " Sage smile quickly faded as all the Samco members stood in front of her .
" Did you tell your dad goodbye yet" Gemma asked .
" Yeah , we said our goodbyes yesterday , after I packed up a few things " Sage took a breath " Well guess this is it."
Quickly Giving Piney , Otto , Bobby, Tig, Chibs and Juice a hug leaving Clay out of the mix due to her negative feelings towards him and it was no secret to anyone .
Starring at Gemma , Jackson and Harry as the tears started to flow down her cheeks.
" Oh sweetheart! I can't believe you grew up this fast ! Do you have the address to your apartment? Your suppose to meet your roommate and landlord when you get there . Do you need me to follow you ? I will ! What if you get lost ? " Gemmas lip quivered and gave her niece a tight squeeze .
"Aunt Gemma , I'll be okay ! Everything is in my GPS " she left out a small laugh as a Gemma reached into her back pocket and took out a small stack of bills
" Here's some cash , I want you to stop at a motel and get some rest tonight , I don't want you driving all night and nodding off at the wheel. It'll give me a piece of mind" Gemma said as she wiped a tear from the corner of her eye and kissed Sage's forehead
" I will , I promise , thank you Aunt Gem , for taking me in , basically raising me , for all of this ... for everything . I don't know who or where I would be if it wasn't for you and Uncle John." smiling at Gemma
" Of course baby ! I got to experience what having a daughter was like , and damnit my attitude rubbed off on you . Your mama and Uncle a John would be so proud of you , who you are today " Gemma gave her a final squeeze.
" I'm going to visit Mom and a uncle a John before heading out "
" They would love that baby " Gemma dabbed her eyes with a tissue .
Sage walked up to Jackson as he ran his hand through his shaggy hair " First Tara , now you , I don't like this" Jax scooped her up off her feet crushing her in a cousin hug .
" Thanks for being one kick ass protective cousin , for being my shield , I'll always remember all the good times and of course our sleepovers "
" I will too ! It's my job to be there for you , that's why I stashed a burner phone in your bag ... just in case you need it . Take care of yourself short cake ! And I want you to call or text every day "
Sage smiled " Love you Jackson , stay out of trouble "
" Can't promise that" he gave her a wink and smile that all the girls swoon over
Soon she came face to face with Harry Winston . She wasn't ready for this goodbye . " I'm surprised to see you here , sure this is okay? Don't want to upset the future Mrs over there" Sage nodded in the direction of Donna sitting at the Picnic table resting her hand on her pregnant belly as her engagement ring glistened in the sun.
Opie pulled his beanie over his ears and crossed his arms " She'll get over it , she knows you're important to me. Sooooo.... This is it huh ? Saying our goodbyes for who knows how long ?"
" Ope , don't think of it like that , Never Say ' goodbye' .... it's See you next time "
" Guess so , come here" he said opening his arms.
Sage wasted no time snaking her arms around his waist and buried her head in his shoulder with tears continuing down her face "You are my best friend Ope , you're gonna be an amazing father and husband , Donna is good for you "
" Thanks kid , you better call and visit or else I'll come over there and hunt you down myself" He allowed his own tears fall as he kissed the top of her head .
" I Promise , I'll call and stay in touch so much you won't even know I left" she stood on her tip toes and gave him a kiss on his cheek as she let go of him and gave his hands a light squeeze. " Love you Ope"
Climbing into the can of her truck and took a deep breath as she started the ignition, looking at her family for the last time as she tried to control her crying but it was no use .
" I'll call , I promise , if not you guys have my permission to hunt me down , take care of each other" she gave a weak smile and blew a kiss , leaving her family behind as she pulled out of the parking lot .
Quickly stopping at a small local flower shop and made her way to the Cemetery , placing a flower on each grave and giving each headstone a quick kiss before making her way back to her truck, turning up her radio dial as Bon Jovi rang through the speakers .
Taking a deep breath as she passed the " Thank you for visiting Charming" sign , watching her hometown get smaller and smaller in her Rearview mirror , until it completely disappeared into a cloud of dust. She thought " Next chapter of my life ... what do you have for me?"
