Part 8 - Talking to everyone

As I got to the gym our last match was held in I let out a frustrated sigh and grabbed a ball, out of habit I served it perfectly into the other basket which was on the opposite side of the court. As I went to jump serve a voice made me freeze "Hime?" as I landed on the floor the ball hit my head making the person burst out laughing, I smiled picking up the ball to see Hinata and Kageyama so I smiled placing my finger up and finishing my serve. As it landed in the basket I spoke "you two ready?" I saw them both nod quickly then Kageyama spoke "I didn't know you played?" I nodded my head "all through middle school but after last year I didn't want to play during high school," I smiled tossing the ball, and seeing the amazing combo attack up close made me smile then Hinata spoke, "what happened last year?" I chuckled rubbing my cheek "some girl spiked right into my face and I got a concussion then lost my memory for the whole month," I looked down then spoke "it was scary," I smiled looking back up "but I'm okay now!" after throwing the whole basket of balls people started to enter the gym so I went round collecting them up. As I picked up the last ball I smiled doing a jump serve, as it landed in the basket I heard someone clap so I looked and I saw coach ukai. I smiled with a chuckle and made my way to the benches as I sat down next to ukai and Takeda, I heard Takeda sensei speak "I didn't know you could play?" I smiled rubbing my next "I went U15 nationals before I had to retire," I saw ukai's eyes widen then he grabbed my shoulders "why did you stop," I chuckled then Daichi spoke up "coach she got memory loss, after the match it seemed she had lost a whole month's worth of memories," I looked away frowning then a hand was placed on my shoulder "Hime it's okay," I nodded to Sugawara then spoke "because of that accident I don't think I'd ever be able to play properly again," I chuckled slightly "oh well at least I get to watch and help out." I saw everyone smile then the boys were sent to warm up as the boys were warming up I went to fill the water bottles up outside. As I was crouched down I tucked some of my hair behind my ear and smiled feeling the cool summer breeze against my face, as I turned around with all the water bottles in hand I saw kenma sitting by himself so I spoke "kenma?" he looked up from his game and nodded "are you okay, shouldn't you be warming up for our game?" he looked away slightly then spoke "I'll be okay," I smiled sitting next to him "what game are you playing?" he showed me the switch and I smiled brightly "ahh animal crossing that's so cute," I heard a small chuckle escape his lips then he spoke, "you're interesting?" I looked at him confused so he spoke again "you seem to have charmed kuroo, Bokuto, Hinata, and all the rest of the karasuno team," I chuckled at his words "charmed?" he nodded his head then spoke "also most people leave me alone," I pouted slightly then offered a hand "but no one likes to be alone kenma-kun," I saw him look away then grab my hand "by the way you're a first-year right?" I nodded then he pointed to himself "I'm a second year," I panicked a little then bowed "sorry I should be more respectful," I heard the same little chuckle escape his lips "shall we go, Hime?" I nodded slowly picking up the drinks rack as we walked into the gym kenma was dragged away so I smiled giving him a little wave before joining the team who were talking to coach. As I handed the bottles out I got a couple of nods in thanks then I smiled standing off to the side looking over the starting line-up, as I looked it over a smile danced onto my lips. As the game started I could see the concentration on kenma's making my body shiver, I smiled brightly seeing tsukishima's blocking then spoke a little confused "he isn't putting all his effort into it," I saw coach look at me from the corner of his eye so I chuckled writing everything down. We lost the first set. So as the boys went to do their penalty run I looked over the board then my mind started to run a little, I was snapped out my thought when kuroo spoke "having some trouble princess," I chuckled getting to my feet "not at all just thinking," as I saw kuroo leaning against board an idea hit me so I spoke, "go back to your team cheater!" I heard him laugh as he slowly made his way to the other side of the court, but as I was playing around with the positions as I started to get somewhere when a voice made me jump out of my skin "what are you doing," as I dropped the pen I was holding I turned to see a smirking coach ukai, I turned to face him and spoke "I was just thinking a different line up might confuse kenma?" he nodded so I moved allowing his to see what I had written "so you want more defence in the back and front," I nodded my head "still the same players but enough movement to confuse nekoma's setter as he is the brains of the whole team," I saw him nod his head then speak "if we win the set I'll owe you free bun's for a month," I chuckled shaking his head and as the boys came back ukai spoke.
