I Wouldn't Mind

After I woke up from the party last night I got dressed and went downstairs and made me some coffee. Brent wasn't up yet and so I made him a cup as well and took it up to him. He smiled and said good morning and kissed me. He asked if I had any plans for today and I told him I didn't. He smiled and said good.

Apparently today Brent set up a date to renew our vows. We have only been together 3 years and he already wants to renew our vows. I never really thought I would renew my vows that I wrote to him 3 years ago. The thing that caught me off guard was the fact that he said it wasn't gonna be here in the US. 

*Skip to that night*

"So where is this place we are renewing our vows at babe?" Brent smiles and "Florence, Italy is where I chose to renew our vows." my jaw dropped. "Wait what?!" i was so shocked and surprised. He smiles and laughs. "You didn't think i was just gonna pick some random venue and not put any thought into any of this?" he started looking sad. "No i didn't think that at all i'm just shocked." He smiles and i smile back.

That night we packed and got everything ready to leave for Florence, Italy and Brents and my parents came to watch our 4 kids while we are gone which is nice that our parents get along and everything. 

*Skip 2 days*

We landed yesterday and i was so exhausted that i slept pretty much all day after we landed and got to the hotel we are staying at, which is super fancy if i must say.  We went out to dinner which was really nice. I can't pronounce the restaurants name but it was extremely fancy and very much enjoyable. The next few days Brent wants to see the sites he had already looked up. Then after that is the day we renew our vows and apparently he wants us to write entire new ones and use those to renew our vows. Brent's is already done cause i guess he rewrote his as he was planning this trip. So that just leaves me to get mine done. I told Brent im gonna need atleast a whole day to get mine done. So he moved plans around and plans to do the shopping the day before our vow renewing and then see the sites after. 

Now its time for me to renew my vows and rewrite them. Well lets see, i honestly don't know what to put. I thought my vows the first time was perfect, but I see why he wants to renew them, we have been together 3 years now and so much has changed. I guess I will start.

"Brent, you are the greatest and most amazing husband I could have ever asked for. You are a great father too. I love you so much. I honestly never thought my life would be this perfect and I never thought I'd have someone as great as you.  You were my first ever boyfriend and for the last 3 years you've been my only husband. I love you more than anything and every day gets better and better. I wouldn't mind spending forever with you and waking up everyday with that smile of yours that keeps me going everyday.  I never thought that we'd be here right now as husband and husband. I remember the first day we met, everyone told me you were a player and that you gave your number to every new hot guy you saw but I never believed it and here we are. I proved them wrong and showed them that you are my husband, my everything and that you love me and I love you. Nothing will ever change that. We have 4 wonderful kids that love you too. Our family is complete and I am so happy I got to make a family with you, the love of my life. Brent Rivera, I love you so much and these 3 years have been the most wonderful 3 years of my life. I know its just gonna get better and better with each passing year. I am so glad to have you as my husband and I hope nothing will ever change that. I love you." I would say that is good enough for a whole new vow.

*Skip to the day we renew our vows*

We get to the place Brent picked out for reciting our new vows. He went first. "Dalton, The first day we met was the day my life changed. The moment I first saw you was the day I knew I needed to make you mine. I didn't care what everyone said about me. I knew you were gonna be the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I love you Dalton and nothing and no one will ever change that. You are the love of my life and my husband. I want to spend forever with you and even when we are dead I will be right by your side. I get to wake up to the most amazing guy and father to our 4 children. Our family is complete and I am so glad it was with you. I know I was your first ever boyfriend and I wanted it to be that way because I know that you deserve the best and I want to give you that everyday.  I know that it was nerve racking because you've never been through this before and neither have I. I have had numerous boyfriends but I wanted to be your first and I wanted you to be my last. I love you Dalton Rivera more then anything. I wouldn't mind spending forever with you and waking up to that amazing smile of yours everyday for the rest of my life.
