Party Time

After the phone call with Brent, I finally went upstairs to get an outfit picked out after feeling like shit for how i made this day to sound. As i am getting dressed a pair of hands grab my waist and i turn around to see Brent right behind me. I smile and wrap my arms around him and kiss him. "i missed you all day." He smiles and says "well tonight will be worth missing me all day." I smile and finish getting dressed and we get to his car and then he blindfolds me. "Im sorry i cant let you see anything till after we get there." I smile and agree. "then you better be a very good guide person cause i suck at directions." He laughs and helps me in the car. It feels like forever till we got to the destination and then he grabs my hand and helps me out of the car and directs me to what feels like a beach.

When he asks if im ready i nod and he takes the blindfold off and what i see before me makes me break out in tears. Brent had everyone close to us pitch in for this. We were on a beach with hot pink streamers, cake, food, games, everything. I started crying and Brent looks at me and says, "Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday to the best husband ever." i start crying even more and i hug my husband tightly and told him thank you. 

After my whole crying scene Brent asks me if i want to dance. I say sure and he leads me to the middle of the beach. The song thats playing isnt our song but i like it. "Brent what song is this? it isnt our song." he smiles and kisses my cheek before responding. " I wouldn't Mind by He is We and i want this to be our new song from here on out." I smile and just dance and listen to the words. "I'm not afraid anymore. I'm not afraid. Forever is a long time. But I wouldn't mind spending it by your side. Tell me everyday i get to wake up to that smile. I wouldn't mind it at all. I wouldn't mind it at all." I start tearing up and Brent lifts my chin up so my face is looking at him and he wipes my tears away and kisses me gently and softly and smiles. I never thought i would get this lucky and have such and amazing husband like Brent. 

The night went on and we had cake and I opened presents and then Brent, our boys and I went home and we went to bed. I snuggled up close to Brent and he kissed my forehead as we passed out while he was holding me close.
