Scariest Day

As we were loading up I saw the scariest thing ever. I was at gun point and he was asking for Brent. Brent came over to the other side and that's when a shot was fired. I called 911 and the ambulance came in under 5 minutes and Brent had been shot in the chest and the paramedics said they would be able to remove the bullet safely. I told Brent that I would meet him at the hospital and that I would bring the kids.

We get to the hospital and we go to the front and then we found his room and we go to his room and we all sit there just looking at him as he was asleep. The doctor comes into the room and tells us that Brent's going to be okay and that he will be able to leave tomorrow. We sit there and Brent finally wakes up and we all smile and tears are streaming down our faces and we go and gently hug him and I kiss him. Brent smiles and he tells me the story about who that guy is and that he was an old friend that he didn't pay back a few years back and now the guy was homeless. Brent's parents came and saw him and told him that they were going to have a security system installed so that we could sleep safely.

*Next Day*

We get the papers signed to have Brent released and then we head home and Brent's parents came over with us to make sure us and the kids got home safely and then they came in and decided to make us food so we could relax. I told Brent that he needs to relax and that I will take care of everything while he rests and then I would come and check on him every 10 minutes. Brent laughs and then winces in pain. I walk him up to our bedroom and I lay him down and cover him up and I kiss him and then I shut the lights off and then I shut the door and go down to check with the kids to see how their doing. They said their scared and I told them that there is nothing to worry about.

Later that night I went to go check on Brent and he was still asleep and so I cuddled into bed with him and held him close and made sure not to hurt him. He woke up and he just cuddled close to me and then kissed me gently and sweetly. "I love you Brent." He smiles and says it back. I was so scared that I would lose him and I didn't and I was glad that I didn't. I don't know what I would do without him. I'd probably fall into a depression and never fall in love again. I started crying and Brent asked me what's wrong and I told him I don't want to lose him and he hugged me and said that I wasn't going to ever lose him.

The next day we wake up and we woke the kids up and told them we are going to the mall to go shopping for whatever they wanted. We get to the mall and the kids wanted to go to Rue 21. We get in there and the kids already have 10 outfits already picked out and we told them to put them up at the cash register and then we paid for them and then we went to go and get some food. We went to the McDonalds there in the mall and told the kids to pick out whatever they want.

After we get done eating and then we decided to go to a movie and then we went home. We get home and then we told the kids to go and put their clothes away in their dressers and then to come down so we can have dinner. After dinner we decided to have the kids go to bed early. Brent and I stayed up and decided to call his parents to come over to watch the kids so that Brent and I could go and do something just the two of us and then we would be back and we told his parents that we don't know when we would be back.
