Up until now, Madelyn's life was perfect. Now, everything, everything is shattered.

The Ambulance drove up, siren blaring and lights whirling. The paramedics got there before Justin could, and he fought them to get to Madelyn.

"Sir, you need to calm down," A paramedic said and held Justin by the shoulders. He had a serious look in his eyes.

"You don't understand!!! I need to see her!!! Make sure she's okay!!!" He said and tried to get out the hands holding him back.

"Stop struggling!! I'll tell you what's wrong with her, what we are doing with her, and an update on the horse. Just-stop struggling!!" He said asked for help holding Justin down.

When help came, the paramedic went off to help the others. The vet drove up and examined Altas. "Easy fella." She said and felt his legs, back, and neck. She sighed and shook her head. Then, got up to get splint boards.

Soon the paramedic returned to Justin and gave him an update. "We will find out broken bones when we get to the hospital. Umm, we put a neck brace on her, and she lost her consciousness. You can ride in the ambulance if you want, but you might get disgusted."

"Oh please. Like that will happen. I used to be a doctor," Justin said hopped into the ambulance.

The phone call to tell the friends and relatives was the hardest. Justin's hand trembled as he waited outside of the hospital. Finally, he dialed Madelyn's Mother. "Hello?" He said as his voice cracked. "Yes, Mom (That's what he calls her) it's me. I have something to tell you. Hey, Madelyn...well she had a fall. A bad one. I don't know of any injuries yet, but she's unconscious. Mom, I need you to pray. Pray that she's fine and safe. How fast can you get here? Thanks. Bye," He hung up the phone and wiped off the tears from his face.

He walked into the waiting room and was just about to sit down when the nurse called his name. He went into the room and sat down. "Hey. You're Justin Montana?" The doctor said and waited for a response. "Good. So let me pull up the x-rays."

"That looks like a broken Tibia. A chalk break," Justin said chocked on his words.

"Yes. Two broken legs, the right is fractured, and the left is a chalk break, two broken wrists, and a broken rib,"

Oh, thank you, God!!!  Surely you are a merciful savior!!! Justin thought to himself. No broken back or neck!!! Amazing!!! And, no surgery?! YES!!!!!

"She still is unconscious, and when she goes home, which definitely will not be today, she will have to exercise lots. Walking is the best."

"Thank you, Doctor. Can I see her now?"

"Right this way," He said with a big, booming smile.
