My One And Only Song (Arranged Version)

               I started writing this on New Year’s Eve of 2012. I was inspired to write this novel when I first saw Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief on December 27, 2011. Then I started to discover Logan Lerman – who he is and how he came to be – and I was instantly inspired to write this novel and pursue what I want to do. He taught me how to believe and chase my dreams. He made me happy every time I saw him on YouTube and on his movies. He was the main reason why I wrote this novel.

               The idea of this novel actually formed in my mind when I started to be broken hearted in the early weeks of November 2011. I was in love with one of my closest friend and I expected much from her only to find out that she only looked at me as a friend. I did everything just to make her notice that I had strong feelings for her but she never really realize this so I stopped trying. Then there came the hurt. But enough of me and back to the origin of this novel.

               When I had this breakdown, I realized that the only way to make me feel better is to make a novel that will make me feel good. And there I started making this story in my head. But it wasn’t till I knew Logan Lerman that I wrote this novel.

Jake is a resemblance of me. For example; Jake loved the colors Red and Black and I too love the colors Red and Black; me and Jake have many friends but we like to be alone and me and Jake likes to write songs. I intentionally did this because I wanted to be the subject of the story in the other way – not that I like the love story Jake has in this story – but because I want my life to be different from my real life.

I am unfortunate when it comes to love, you know. But I'm lucky to know how to write things like these, so when love comes falling in and crashing me down, I know where to lean and take ground - and that's when I write...
