I woke up the next morning to the unfamiliar sound of other people in my house. People usually didn't come over this early, unless it was three in the afternoon and I had just woken up.
I carefully removed myself from under the covers, so as not to wake Ashley and made my way out to the living room. Much to my surprise, Luke was sitting on my floor playing FIFA with my twin, Ashton.
"Ashton, really? Did you really have to invite Luke over? You know I hate him," I groaned, walking over to my brother and kicking him in the leg.
"Ow that hurt, Nat," Ashton pouted, "but we both know that you actually have a huge crush on Hemmings," he smirked.
Ashton had just called Luke by his last name, which he hated when I did. "How come I can't call you Hemmings?" I asked Luke.
"Because that's weird and I don't like it when you do?" Luke answered, as in if he was asking me a question himself.
"I'm going back to bed," I scoffed.
"Thanks for telling us," I heard Ashton giggle as I slammed my bedroom door.
"Wait wait," Luke rushed into my room after me, slowly opening the door that I most likely slammed in his face.
I couldn't fathom what Luke could possibly want from me or Ashley, well I knew what he wanted from Ashley, but not what he wanted from me.
"What do you want, Hemmings?" I scoffed. Ashley gave me a look as to not to be rude to Luke, but I couldn't help it. Luke was an asshole and he drove me crazy.
"Ashton and I were wondering if you wanted to go to the mall with us. We both need new clothes and we need girl advice. But uh, just you, Natalie. I don't want Ashley coming," Luke blushed and looked at the floor.
"You wear all black," I starred at him, wondering why the hell he would want me to go shopping with him.
Luke was insanely confusing. One minute he hates me and the next minute he was asking to go to the mall with my brother and I without the girl he occasionally fucks.
Maybe he didn't want people to know he fucked her, who knows. But why would he want to be seen with me? The only reason people knew me is because I'm Ashton Irwin's twin sister. Ashton and Luke were the most popular kids in school.
Listening to rock music and wearing black skinny jeans was making a comeback and I sort of appreciated it. The guys looked hot in it.
Luke wore his docs everyday, which is one of the only thing I liked about Luke, his sense in shoe fashion.
"So, are you coming or not?" Luke asked.
"Sure. Give me half an hour to get ready," I told Luke. "Ashley, I know you wanted to meet up with that Steven dude. Call me after. I'll see you on Monday."
As Ashley collected her things to leave, Luke pulled me out into the hallway.
"What?" I snapped at Luke.
"Do you also want to go to a party with Ash and I tonight?" He asked me.
"Yeah, sure. Whatever. Let me go get ready," I waved Luke off and walked back into my room.
-
"Don't look at anyone, talk to anyone, or touch anyone. Got it?" Luke was giving me a lecture.
We pulled up to the party and it was much different than I had expected it to be. I had never been to a high school party and I was a little anxious and Luke's little speech wasn't helping my anxiety at all.
