In this one, Steven is you boyfriend, you were best friends as kids before meeting Connie, and wanted to have a date night with you and Connie's helping you pick out a dress. But, your a little self conscious about how you look. Keep reading to see what happens.

A date with Stevie, part 1

Third Person
"Oh, come on Y/N, this would look really cute on you, and you know Steven would like it too." She wiggled her eyebrows goofily, you blushed a little and covered your face. You and Steven have been dating for 2 years now.(After the events in Change Your Mind)

Connie was helping you to pick out a dress for you and Steven's date.(Just in case, I'll put a well dressed shirt and pants look)

"I dont know Connie, what if I dont look good in it, or Steven doesn't like it?" She gave you and are you serious look and commented "Are you kidding? This is Steven we're talking about. He thought you look amazing in pajamas."

You were kind of surprised hearing this. Then again, Steven was the kind of boy who would watch a T.V show with you while wearing some animal sheet masks you chose.

You kept walking around the store, still looking for a dress to wear. As you looked you remembered your last date with him.

Flashback Third P.O.V

You and Steven were walking around Funland. Steven won you a Po toy from the Kunf Fu Panda movies. He knew you loved that movie as a kid, he he felt the need to win it for you.

Afterwards, you wanted to get some cotton candy. You both went to a stand to get some. The lady was about to hand it to you, she didnt notice that Steven's back was turned to her. So some of the cotton candy got in his hair.

He felt it and turned to look at the lady. But once he did, you started busting out laughing. He turned to you and gave you a questioning look. You then took the cotton candy out of his hair and laughed more.

The lady kept on apologizing, but Steven was a nice boy so he just laughed it off. She offered to give you two a free one, but he insisted on paying anyways. Not that it cost a lot. You enjoyed the rest of your date with him, still teasing him about the cotton candy fiasco.

He'd give you playful glares, but was happy to see that you were enjoying your date. You went to his place and decided to stay over. Your dad trusted Steven, so they allowed it. You enjoyed the rest of the night cuddling and watching whatever was on the screen. With a panda sheet mask of course.

End of flashback

Your P.O.V
I giggled at the memory, Steven pouted every time I bring it up now, only for us to end up in tickle wars. "Y/N, hello earth to Y/N, you still there?" I snapped out of my daze, not realizing Connie was trying to get my attention. "Huh, oh yeah I'm still here. Sorry, I was thinking". " Ooo. About Steven I'm guessing". I gave her a playful glare with slight blush saying "Haha, funny. What were you trying to get my attention for?"

She then perked up saying" Oh right, here I found this one. It looks so pretty and I thought youd look so good in it." She showed it to me, and she was right, it was pretty. But I'm not sure how it would look on me.

"Yeah it is, but on me?" She gave me a look with her brows furrowed. She put a hand on my should and said" Hey, come on, your going to look amazing. Besides, Steven loves you no matter what you look like, you are amazing Y/N, inside and out. So quite doubting yourself."

Hearing those words gave me slight more confidence. She was right, Steven didn't care about my looks, he was sweet and kind and gentle with me. He never yells at me, and we are always there to comfort each other. Especially when things came to his mom.

I gave Connie and determined smile and said" Yeah, your right. Thanks Connie, your the best friend anyone could ask for" I gave her a hug and when we pulled away she said"Come on, let's go do your hair sis".

We then walked out after paying. I couldn't wait to see Steven later. I just hope Connie was right.

Steven's P.O.V

Connie said she was going to help Y/N pick something out for our date later. But it doesn't really matter. She could come in sweats and a baggy shirt and she'd look amazing.

Garnet wanted to help me pick out a suit for out date later, but I told her maybe not a balck one, something that's a little more me. She understood and decided to make one for me.

She was doing to finishing touches on my suit. Amethyst and Pearl wanted to come see it. "Oh my stars Steven! You look absolutely handsome" Pearl gushed. Amethyst replied " Yeah dude, your totally rocking that, and Y/N's gonna love it too" she said wiggling her eyebrows.

I slightly blushed at all the compliments saying" Thanks guys, and to you too Garnet, for taking the time to make this". She gave a toothy grin saying,"Of course, besides it was really easy to make with the classes pearl taught about sewing at little home school".

Pearl did a playful "oh stop" motion making the gang giggle. "I just hope Y/N will like it". Garent replied" Don't worry Steven, she'll love it" moving her visors up and down.

"Hey, no spoilers" Amethyst said, making us giggle again. I couldn't wait to see her. I know she can be a little self conscious at times, but I love her no matter what.

Her smile makes me go over the moon, sometimes literally. She likes the little animal mask I used to love as a kid. Their pretty useless for me, but I wear them with her, plus she looks adorable with them.

Pearl then said" Oh that reminds me, Connie asked me to go over to her place and help Y/N with her hair. I'll be back". "Ooo, I'll come with, I wanna see what shes wearing" Amethyst replied. "See you later dude". Then left with Pearl.

"Alright, that should do it" I took a look in the mirror, and I gotta say, it turned out better than expected. "Wow, it looks amazing, thank you again Garent. This means so much to me". I gave her a quick hug, she hummed ruffling my hair and then left.

I went to my room, once I got in, I picked up my phone. I wanted to text Y/N and see how she's doing.

Steven chuckled at this and replied

Steven
Yeah, I think shes almost there

Just then, Garent knocked on the door and said" Hey Steven, I wanted to see if you'd like to style your hair different". I thought about it and replied " Sure, just give me one minute." She gave me a thumbs up then left.

I texted Y/N back saying

Steven
Sorry panda, I gotta go, but I'll see you later

I chuckled at the nickname,one of the many she had for me. I clicked my phone off and started heading towards Garnet. I wonder what type of hair style I'll try tonight.

I sat on the chair in the bathroom, Garnet twirled the comb in her hand and said" Let's get started."

And scene,lol. Sorry if it's super long, but I love writing and wanted to try this. I'll post a part 2 in a little bit, but I love the idea of Steven and Y/N having a special date night unlike others. Hope you enjoyed it.
