Date Night- Part 2

Third P.O.V

Back at your place, Pearl, Amethyst and Connie were helping you get ready for you date with Steven.

"Haha, Y/N stay still, your gonna make me mess up your makeup" Connie giggled, you were squirming a little in your seat. You giggled and blushed a little saying, "Ahh, sorry, I'm just excited, Steven and I haven't had a date in forever. I'm just not too sure about this dress though" you look at your dress with uncertainty. ( I'll put nice pants and top just in case;) )

"Oh, dont worry, you look great" Pearl complemented. Amethyst was sitting on your dresser, while Pearl was making sure your hair was alright.

Ameythest then said "Yeah man, you can rock anything". You smile at all of them from how supportive and caring they are of you.

"Thank you, all of you, this means so much to me" You were tearing up, Connie was wiping the tears jokingly saying "Hey, your gonna mess up your makeup" You giggled an said "Ah, sorry"

The group giggled, then heard a knock on the door. It was D/N, her dad. "Hey pumpkin, is it safe to come in?" He asked. "Hehe, yeah dad, just finishing up, come in". He walked in and was shocked, Y/N never really dressed up for anything, so seeing his daughter like this made him happy that she found someone.

Y/N then walked up to her dad giving her a hug, he pulled back, cupping her face saying, "You look beautiful mija, your mother would be so proud of you". Y/N sadly smiled "Aww, papa" she hugged him once more. Pearl, Amethyst and Connie watching the scene with fond smiles on their faces.

D/N head then popped up saying, "Oh wait, theirs something your mother wanted you to have, one minute". He left the room retrieving was he was getting. Y/N stood in her room with confusion, looking back at the group as they gave her a questioning look, with her shrugging her shoulders.

He came back holding a beautiful dreamcatcher necklace. Y/N immediately recognized it gasping softly. Tearing up a little, she asked " Papa, is that?" D/N smiled saying"Yes, this was your mother's, before she... passed, she wanted me to give you this when you were older"



He placed it around your neck as you were tearing up a little, having a faint but clear flashback of your mother smiling at you. Your father clipped the ends together, and lifting your chin to look at him. "You mom always believed that you would be the strongest and most kind of them all. She was right mija, your mom is smiling down from heaven".

You hugged your father tightly " I love you papa, and I know moms here with us". D/N smiled at his daughter," I love you too mija". The gems and Connie were tearing up, Pearl sniffling while Connie and Amethyst hugging each other all with watery eyes.

Pearl then fanned her eyes and said" Ok, you ready Y/N?". She looked down at her necklace, and with a determined smile she said" Yeah, I am"

Back at the temple
Steven's P.O.V

I was sitting silently while Garent was styling my hair, I was in really deep thought of Y/N and everything we've been though together. I smiled just thinking about it, of how perfect she was, sure she may have a few flaws, but who doesn't. As she would always say, "Your not human if you flawless".

"Thinking about Y/N I see" Garent spoke. I look at her thought the mirror and smiled saying "Yeah, I can't wait to see her". She smiled, saying" You know, when we first met her, I saw endless futures with her in them. I saw a possibility where she would leave us, and it hurt you". I looked at her in worry, but then she said" But then, she was around more, she would play and even train to be strong not only for herself, but for others as well."

I listened to what Garent was saying, she was right. Y/N was strong, heck even stronger than me. She'll listen to me rant, let me cry on her shoulder, and sometimes let me take naps on her lap. She's just so nice to be around, we don't say anything sometimes and just enjoy our time with each other.

"Yeah, that's why I love her so much. She never asks for more than I can give her, shes always so patient with me, listening to me rant or cry. She's so calming to be around, she's wonderful. A girl like her should never feel anything bad, that's why I always want to protect her and be there for her when she needs me most."

Garent paused at what she was doing while listening to my words. I noticed this and quickly said "Dah, I'm sorry, I was just-I-I mean...uh" Garnet chuckled and said "Theres no need to apologize Steven, you were just talking about love. That's perfectly fine, your both very lucky people to have each other"

I looked up at her once more, smiling, "Thanks Garnet, I'm glad I have her, she's... amazing" I said as my eyes were sparkling at the thought of her once more.

"Alright, we're finally done, what do you think?" I looked in the mirror and, wow. I looked good, she did great, I almost could believe that was me I was seeing.

"Wow, this looks great" I look back to Garent, then gave her a hug, "Thank you so much, for everything you've ever done for me."

She hugged me back saying "You are very welcome Steven. I'll always try to do everything I can". I smile fondly at her and her words. Just then my phone dinged.

"Oh that must be Y/N".

Hey Steven, I'm here
I'm in the living room

My heart was pounding, I was so excited. Finally, finally I get to see her. I quickly responded

Steven
I'm coming beautiful
One minute

I looked in the bathroom mirror once again. I took a deep breath "Ok, your good Steven, it's just a pleasant night with your little Panda." I walked towards the door, grabbed the handle, and walked through the door.

I know this chapter is a bit short, but I wanted to publish something, I will try to write part 3 soon. But let me know in the comments what you think, or any suggestions, but I'll write some things I can and cannot write. But I hope you all enjoy.
