This takes place a year before Spinel showed up to earth, so a year after changed your mind. Hope you like it.

Third person P. O. V
Today, you, Connie and Steven were gonna go walk around Beach City to enjoy the calmness of the once targeted planet. But that name, Connie. Everytime you heard your best friends name, you felt like flying. You have been best friends with her since the 6th grade.

You remember the day clearly, you were new in the small city, so it was really nerve wracking for you to talk to new people. Even though you would practice with your parents and stuffed toys, it's nothing like the real thing.

You sat on a bench away from everyone, but then heard, "Hey". You look up to see a girl with black hair, beautiful brown skin and glasses. " Uh, hi" you replied. "I'm Y/N L/N, I-Im new in town". She then gave you the biggest smile you've received since you got here.

" Cool, my names Connie, Connie Mahaswaren "(I don't know how to spell her last namesorry if I did it wrong(╥﹏╥)
She then sat down with you and said" I got baby carrot, you want some? " A little hesitant at first, but grabbed some and had a nice lunch talking about interest, sharing stories and cool places you've been.

First person P.O.V
I was grabbing my small MHA backpack front my closet and putting what I needed in there, a notebook and book for reading, pens, and snack for if we got hungry. I remember meeting Steven for the first time, he was so warm and bubbly, and you two became friends immediately.

Backpack in hand,I headed down the stairs,I saw mom in the kitchen and dad at the door coming home from work. "Hey firebug, where you goin? " dad asked. He calls me firebug because as a kid I was always so fascinated by it, though I learned the hard way that it was not to be touched. I sat at the counter setting my bag down on the floor next to me. "Me, Connie and Steven were gonna go around Beach City today"

"Ohh, Connie huh? " mom teased. A while back I had came out to my parents as BI (I just put that, and can put yours in here) , they were taken back but they wanted to do their best to support me, even if they didn't fully understand it.

"Mooom, stop it, we're just friends, honest" Dad sat next to me, ruffling my hair a little, not enough to mess it up. "You never know firebug, but you got to tell her otherwise you'll miss your shot". He was right, but I was never really good at talking to people anyways, let alone confess. Mom set a plate in front of me, " Well before you do anything eat, you don't want to go on an empty stomach eh?" I giggled at the face she'd make when she said "Eh?" "Haha, sì mama".

While eating the food in front of me, my phone buzzes. I take it out of my pocket to see a text from Connie.

Hey, I'm about to go out right now, I'll meet you and Steven in front of the arcade, is that ok?

I read the text while my fork was in hand eating my hash brown. Putting it down after swallowing, I type back.

I smiled at the text, but I guess I was smiling for too long, when I looked up my parents had knowing looks on their faces. " Haha, what?" My mom spoke first "Oh, you know exactly what mija" she said as she took my plate away. I blushed at this, slightly.
