Chapter 2

I walk in, looking down at the ground. I hear a familiar laugh. Lindsay! I tilt my head up. She is wearing a white skater dress that has a low front with red lipstick to match her expensive flats. The guys seem very intrested in her, well her chest. Douche' bags. I roll my eyes and walk past her it felt like she was lion starring at her prey. ME. I continue to look down at the blue and orange tiles. I look at my scedule.Newspaper/Journlism. THUD! I look up quickly "I'm so sorry!" I pick up his books "I'm Brittany." He smiles "Its ok I'm Erick." I smile. "I'll see you around." he says winks and walks away. He was perfect! His big brown eyes and his hair was so perfect! I bite my lip. I've seen him in middle school. He was the school soccer star, I dont really talk to him but he seems cool. I walk to Room 204. Yay! Lauren and Alyssa are in my first peroid! I walk over to them "Is this seat taken?" I smirk Lauren replies not looking up from her book "Um yeah. for Britanny Hale." I fake cough, she looks up "Sit down fool!" I laugh and sit down in between both of my best friends!Lauren has a bob haircut after her she died hair it ruined her and had to chop half of it off! She dresses nicely. North face jacket. Nike yoga pants. All that crap. Alyssa and the hand is complety different! Curly blonde hair. Ripped jeans. Torn up shoes. I dont care what the look like though. Its the personallity that does. We have all been friends since 6th grade. We were all in the same class and rotations. None of us really belong in a group or clique. We were assigned to a reading project and kinda just became friends.

 I walk into the huge cafe I walk past Lindsay. Great She is in my lunch! I ignore the fact that they are talking about me and walk to the lunch line. The line moves quickly. I get Cheese Pizza, Lays chips, Chocalate Milk, and Chocalate cream pie. In the corner of my eye I see Erick and Melanie together. I frown. I knew she was into him! I roll my eyes and walk the other way. It sucks that I have no friends in my lunch. I feel a tap on my shoulder. Erick. "Hey whats up?" I say He replies "Wanna sit with us?" I think for a minute "Sure." he takes my tray for me. Melanie looks up in disapproval "Who are you?" she says in a snotty tone before I can say anything Erick tells her that he invited me, she rolls her big brown eyes. This is going to be a long lunch! I sit down by two girls. "Hey I'm Brittany." The one on my right smiles "I'm Ali, that is Faith and Melanie." I wave and start to eat my pizza as we talked about Soccer. I am really good at soccer but I don't show it. Its my secret talent. My Neighbor taught me everything . They always threw parties for The World Cup! We always had the best time! I laugh how Erick and Faith fighting about if Ronaldo or Messi is better! "Personally I think that Messi is way better!" I raise my eyebrows. Before Erick can resond the bell rings "We will finish this!" I smile and throw away my trash away. In the corner of my eye I see Melanie crush her water bottle. Jealous much? Ali laughs and Faith asks  "You okay melanie?" Melanie rolls her big brown eyes. Is that all she does? I walk to my 5th period. Spanish. I look down at my scedule to make sure it was the right room. It was. I look around for an open seat. I freeze! Ryan is in my 5th period. My Spanish class. The only open spot is next to.... HIM! What will I do?! The only thing I can do is sit by Ryan. The more I think about Ryan the more I dislike him. Crazy right! I guess I have a thing for Erick. I mean after long crush I think it   time  to move on  from my ex. Yeah about that.... So Ryan and I have a history. We dated for about 3 months. I was stupid enough to think that he wouldn't cheat on me with Lindsay. Hey atleast I dumped him right. I sit down. He smirks "So you seem to be doing well" he says "Did you need something?" He laughs "You." I scoff "What did Lindsay find out that your cheating her or is her 3 month  boyfriend policy already gone over it limit" He smiles "I just want a second chance." He begs. No! He cheated on me before and nothing stops him from doing it again. I tap the girl infront of me "hey wanna switch seats?" she looks behind me at  Ryan and smiles "Sure."  We switch and Ryan frowns. "Hello everyone Im Mrs. Pollock.We have a test this Friday to test your knowlodge. Blah blah blah. We introduce ourselves. I'm kinda surprised by that. "Hi I am Brittany Hale. Um and thats it." People laugh or tell me to say more "well I like Elephants." I sit down everyone else shares  there intrests, hobbies or favorite things.That takes most of our 45 minutes. I look down at my Iphone 6. Fifteen more minutes. I zone back into class ''For the remaining time I will be choosing a partner for the essay. This will be a girl/boy project, Aly and Gabe.Cameron and Nicole, Katie and Austin, Brittany and Ryan." RYAN?!?! I see him smirk in the corner of my eye. Great! I will have to look at Ryan  and talk to him. Ew! Mrs.Pollock dismisses us. Someone taps my shoulder, I turn around to see Ryan I roll my eyes and walk away. He catches up to me and turns me around "What?" I say annoyed "We have a project together" he says "How about I do the project and you can write your name on it?' I say innocently and walk away. I walk in the ladies restroom. Lindsay was re-applying her lipstick. I ignore her and fix my snapback and flatten out my hat hair. She laughs "Have you heard of a brush?'' I roll my eyes and put my hat back on and walk out.Crap I have two minutes till my next  class! It's across the school. I start to speed walk when I am sudenly stopped. Erick. I bite my lip he says "I know a shortcut." and pulls me in a closet "What are you doing?!" he lifts up part of the  ceiling "Need a boost?" he says I laugh "ok." I crawl  into  an airvent and Erick is right behind me. "Where do we go?" He points to the left and I crawl to the same direction "Brittany I have to asked you something?" He says nervously "Yeah what's up?" "I really like you and I know we don't know eachother very well but I was wondering if you wanted you to go on a date tonight." I blush "Sure." I look at my phone. I have like 2 seconds to get to class! ''Wheres room 423?!" he points under us. We slide down in to another closet. I open the door moments before the teacher comes in. Erick and I sit in the back next to the closet. He takes my hat. "Hey!" He laughs "I like to see you without half of your face hiding!" I blush "So your parents didnt go to college?" "My dad didn't you?" I respond "My mom is single so she put me in A.V.I.D" AVID is for students whos parents have not gone to college and need help understanding classes or other things in that catergory.

I walk out of Oceanveiw Highschool with Erick by my side. "So I will pick you up at 7." I nod and walk to Lydias Hummer. "Hey Linda." Thats my nickname for her. " She replies " Hey Britt! How was your first day?" she asks I tell her everything "His name is Erick and we are going on a date tonight." I can see the shock on her face. I laugh "I am so shocked! I never would guess you would agree to a date." I continue to tell her about him.We finnaly arrive at our house. We live in Wood Creek. It's a wealthy neighborhood, I've lived here my whole life.

My mom works till about 7 so I do not have the opportunnity to talk  to her about school. I pick out a  red crop top and white high-waisted shorts with gold sandals. I apply a light coat of gold eyeshadow and masacara. Ding! I look down my phone   ~See you soon!~ I smile and but on a dash of perfume. I walk downstairs right as the doorbell rings. I open the door and smile. Erick was wearing a black button down,jeans and black vans "You look amazing!" I blush and reply "You don't look to bad yourself." We walk down the walk way. He opens the door to his Black Ford truck. "Thank you." I say and I get  in the car. "Where are we goinng?" I ask. He replies "Razoos."  On our way there we listen to music on the radio. Thinking out loud comes on! It's my favorite song ever! I start to sing the lyrics when Erick pauses it "Hey! Thats my favorite song!" I frown Erick laughs "You sing amazing!" He says in awe "Thanks." I say as we pull in the parking lot. I open the car door and smell the fried food. Erick comes behind me and puts his arm around me "Ready?" He asks I nod my head as we walk into Razoos. The hostess , A thin brunette, takes us to our table. We share small talk before we order. Erick and I order Calamari and Alligator. When our food comes it looks delicious! I look at my plate that has Alligator meat with a sprinkle of some hot spice.

After dinner Erick takes me back to my house. I had a wonderful time we share so many intrests and hobbies! I look at my phone 10:00. We share our goodbyes and I walk in the door. My whole family is waiting for me, Lydia, My mom and Jake. "Um hi." My mom and Lydia go straight into asking about the date. I laugh "It was fine. He is a nice guy." Lydia looks confused "That' it?!" I nod and start to walk to my room.  After a while of being on my phone I drift to sleep.
