Y/N's POV:

Today was the day. Dad, Mum, Dove and I were going to Diagonal Alley. Dove was psyched about it while I was extremely nervous. Dad drove us in London all the way to a place called 'The Leaky Cauldron'. "You bought us to a pub?" I asked as we all got out of the truck.  "We understand you skepticism, but it more than just a 'pub'. Mum stated as Dad walked in the bar with Dove following as we got weird glances from people on the sidewalks. "Kids stay with your mother I'll be back in a sec." Dad said as he walked over to the bartender. Dove looked around as a few people were staring at us. "I don't really feel safe here Mum." Dove said in a shaky tone. Instinctively I pull her behind me to help her. "It's okay sweetheart they won't do anything." Mum said reassuringly but I still held my ground and attempted to keep Dove safe. "Merlin's beard..." A man said in weird robes and a turban walking over to us. "Jessie Damon. It's been years." The man said in a shaky tone extending his hand to mum who accepted shook his hand. "Quirius Quirrell it has." Mum said as she let go and the man then looked at us for some reason giving me a weird vibe about him. "Ahh it's Professor Quirrell now been teaching Defense Against The Dark Arts for about 5 years now, and this must me Y/N and Dove." He said staring at us. "Y/N you look just like your father speaking of which where is he?" He asked and then jumped at the sound of my father's voice. "Right here." My father boomed as Quirrell came down from the scare. "My word Charles just like in school you were school always joking along with James." Quirrell said with a slight hiss. "What brings you all here?" He asked. Oh god. "Well Y/N here just got accepted into Hogwarts we decided to get his supplies." Dad said proudly. Quirrell then looked at me which made me more unnerved. "My my a spitting image of your father I'd say, hopefully none of his old trick either." Quirrell said emphasizing the last few word. "Well we need to get going only a month left and we wanna make sure he'll be ready." Mum said as I quietly thanked the heavens we didn't have to be around this guy or these people in the pub. "Quite right I'll see you all soon I need to get home so I can get my papers ready." Quirrell said leaving us. "Something off about him." Dad said as he pulled us to a back room. "It's been over 15 years love. Time changes and he works at the school I'm pretty sure if we were there we'd be the same." Mum said as Dad pulled out his wand. "Thank the heavens we're Aurors then." Which confused Dove and I. "Aurors?" Dove asked which made them realize something. "We need told them about that?" Dad asked as he tapped the wall. "We'll explain sometime soon right now we focus on the task at hand." Dad said as the wall suddenly shifted in. "Holy crickets." I gasped as the wall soon stopped shifting to see a small crowded area with people bombarding the area. "Welcome to Diagon Alley." Mum said as we stepped through. It was amazing. There was owls flying around, cats roaming and people all over. "Wow." I gasped which made Mum and Dad smile again. "Wow is right." Dad said as he walked ahead of us with us following behind. "Jessie, take Y/N to get his wand, I'll take Dove to get the other supplies we'll meet at Gringotts." Dad said which Mum agreed as he pecked her on the cheek and walked off with Dove following. "Come on." Mum said as I walked with her down the pathway. Now I kinda good time to ask. "What's an Auror?" I asked. Mum looked at me and smiled again. "Aurors are the Wizarding World's best defence against the practitioners of the Dark Arts. Well-versed in offensive magic, because their very lives depend on it. " Mum explained to me. "So if some witch or wizard were to become evil you'd have to stop them." I asked which she replied with a nod but my next question put a surprised look on her face. "Has there ever been anyone who went too far?" I asked. Mum looked down and pulled me to the side. "What I say to you can't say aloud. Got it." Mum ordered where I immediately nodded in response. "Over 11 years ago there was a powerful dark wizard who's name must not be said out loud. He had killed wizards for protecting Muggles only for being lower than us including wizards who are Muggle-born he reigned terror for a few years until one day he went to a house to kill two wizards and with that he killed them but they had a child, a boy by the name of Harry Potter." Mum explained. "He tried to kill him but he couldn't kill him due to a spell his mother casted before she died. Soon afterwards we stopped him but his followers are out there we are finding them and putting them behind bars and making sure that they won't cause anymore trouble." Mum finished. Even in the wizarding world we have people who try to terrorize people. "Anyways let's go we need to get your wand and books so we can get you prepared for this year." Mum said pulling me down the pathway once again leading to a place called Ollivander's Wands. We walked inside but there was no one in site. "Hello?" I called out. Still no answer until a ladder leaning up against the wall ran down towards us and a man in shaggy robes stared at us. "Well if this isn't something. Y/N L/N." The man said getting of the ladder. "How did you know my name?" I asked walking up to the counter. "It feels like it was only just yesterday that your mother and father were here getting their wands." The man said walking over to the counter, guess this is Ollivander. "Let's see. 10 inch, Birch wood with Unicorn core." Ollivander said handing me a wand. "I looked back at mom who smiled at me in return. I swish the wand only to have a nearby book explode, I immediately put the wand down. "Not that one I see." He said walking to the middle of the isle and grabbing a box. "12 inch, jungle wood with Phoenix core." He said handing me the wand. I exhaled and swished the wand only to have the previous wand fly across the room going through wand boxes and an isle. "Definitely not that one." He said walking back to the isle as I put the wand down. Ollivander made his way to the isle and stopped and looked back at me as he grabbed the box. He walked back to the counter. "This one is a special wand. 10 inches with a Dragon core made with oak wood." Ollivander stated handing me the wand. I grasped it and soon I felt a rush on me. I looked back at mum who had her hand over her mouth smiling underneath. "I should have expected this seeing as how your father has a similar wand." Ollivander said as I put the wand back in the box. "Magic is a strong thing Young L/N, the wand chooses their wizards and this wand has chosen you." Ollivander said in a soft tone and Mum walked over and put her hand on my shoulder. "Hope you have a wonderful first year young sir." Ollivander bidded as he walked to the back of the store. "Come on let's go get your books." Mum said pulling me out of the shop and walking me to the bookstore.

*Timeskip*

After getting the books for school I decided to get basic books about Hogwarts and on Magic. I then found a book labeled: Hogwarts,A History. As I reached for it I was soon stopped as I felt a hand touch mine. I look over a see a girl with brown bushy hair. No older than me too. "I'm sorry you can take it." She apologized but I declined. "No you can have it  I can ask my parents if they have a copy or something." I said as I grabbed the book and gave it to her. "Thanks." She smiled. "I'm Hermione Granger." She greeted extending her hand. I accepted and shook her hand. "Y/N L/N. I see your a first year as well." I said pointing to her supplies. "Yeah my parents were surprised to hear that their daughter was a witch." She said smiling again. "Your a Muggle-born?" I asked. "Never met them till now." I said as I pulled my hand away from a long unknown handshake. "Yeah sadly are kind isn't know be like by most witches and wizards." Hermione said looking down. "Well I'm not one of them, muggles are basically the reason we're all here, but us wizards and witches have gifts that aren't known." I reassured. She smiled once more and honestly her smiles felt warm to me. Something I hope I won't forget. "we should get going my parents are waiting for me in the Leaky Cauldron, I'll see you soon." Hermione said leaving the isle to buy the book. All I could do was smile back and wave until I felt a hand on my shoulder. "She seems nice already made a friend?" Mum asked as I turned to her. "Seems like it." I said smiling.
