"Hello everyone!" Janes voice boomed as she strutted through the already open door.

"Hi bestie!" Amanda called back in a high pitched mocking tone.

Jane slightly tilted her head down to face the other girl, revealing a glare through her eyebrows. She stared at her for a moment, showing she was stressed and agitated while Amanda was trying her best not to burst into an eruption of laughter. Jane turned her head to face the whiteboard again, letting out a loud and noticeable sigh.

"May I remind you, Amanda," she started to lecture her, "that I am your boss for the day. Yes, I may not actually be the boss but I am her niece so I don't think that you should treat me as if I'm someone like, i don't know, Mike."

Mike wasn't too offended by this, people have said much worse to him before and he knew that Jane didn't actually mean anything by it, that she was simply just irritated. When he's upset at something completely unrelated, he still finds himself making little jabs at his friends, slightly distancing himself from them and disagreeing with almost everything they say. Generally just being a dick.

Amanda didn't seem to show any large change in her emotions, just a slight shift in her smile. Will appeared to slouch down a bit and look down at his feet. He obviously didn't like people raising their voices, even if Jane was angry at literally everyone but him.

She went over to a whiteboard that Mike hadn't noticed previously and went to grab one of the markers. They were situated on the large eraser that stuck to the bottom of the whiteboard. Jane's eyes scanned through the five different colours before eventually stopping. She lifted up the red one and pressed it against the board. A loud squeaking noise came from the board, causing everyone else's faces to scrunch up. She moved her arm up and down, slowly working her way across the board. She lifted her hand from the board and stepped to the side, revealing what she had wrote to the three teens. In the middle of the board there appeared a message and a graph:

The two different work week schedules

"okay, so," she started and tapped the board with the red marker using it as a pointer. "Amanda, let's start with you."

Amanda shifted slightly in her seat, letting an
obnoxious sigh escape her lips. She was looking her in her eyes, Jane glaring back. It was although they were having a contest as to who will break first. Jane seemed to be contemplating wether to be professional and move on or to continue staring. Mike looked awkwardly around the room, fighting the urge to start whistling or kick his legs.

About thirty seconds had passed now, and the tension only started to rise. Mike heard a soft sigh beside him but thought it could just be the devil on his shoulder trying to push him to tell them to quit it. He didn't really need to be pushed though, he had already opened his mouth.

"what the hell?" He said as if he had only just walked into the room.

Jane turned her head and looked back at him. Her eyes were wide and her lips were ever so slightly parted. Mike didn't get to see her like this for long though.

"YES! I WON!" Amanda beamed, practically jumping out of her seat.

"Excuse me?" Janes sass very prominent in the tone of her voice.

"Are you death? I literally screamed it," she rolled her eyes but couldn't help a small smirk curl onto her face.

"You know what I mean," Jane said, annoyed. "Anyways, Amanda, you will be working Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on Week 1 - 8 hour shifts, 9am to 5pm. You'll be stocking shelves with two other workers that you haven't met yet."

"Great." Amanda sarcastically muttered, breaking the intense stare she had been giving to both Jane and the board. This was the first time Mike had seen her genuinely bothered, although he reminded himself that he had only known her for a few minutes, so he quickly disregarded this thought.

Jane gave her another warning expression, this time more intimidating due to the furious glint in her eyes. "In week 2, you'll be working as a cashier with one of these people, but only for Thursdays and Fridays."

This time Amanda didn't say anything, she just groaned and begun to space out into a deep thought, no longer listening to anyone. Janes attention then averted to Mike and Will, who were both equally as terrified of her. However, much to everyone's surprise, Jane managed to curl a small smile onto her lips.

"You guys have the same schedule but reversed, your cashiers and you only have one other person to work with," Jane obviously saw Mikes confusion and so she handed out everyone a printed copy of the schedules that she already had in her pocket, but not before letting out a small sigh.

"Alright," she directed, "let's get onto the actual work, follo-"

"What!?"
