"Robin!" Mikes voice shook a little as he called across the crowd swarming the tiny ice cream store. After getting no reply, other than a few angsty teens giving him long judgmental glares, he continued racing on into the store, regretfully plunging himself into an ocean of black clothing. Repeatedly mumbling fake apologies, he somehow managed to squeeze past the group of rebellious emo teens, who admittedly looked hilarious in the bright colours of the store, before at last reaching the counter.

"I need to talk," Mike insisted, slightly short of breath. When he got no reply, he slowly started tilting his head upwards to finally face the person behind the counter, bracing himself for severe embarrassment. However, what he saw was even worse than what he had dreaded.

Dressed in the familiar tacky sailors uniform, was an entirely unfamiliar girl, somehow inspecting Mikes own expression whilst simultaneously staring blankly into space. Okay, she was little shorter and had almost luminous ginger hair, but other than that major detail Mike decided it wasn't entirely outlandish that he had briefly mistaken her for own of his closest friends. His face flushed faintly, before soon retreating to its usual colour - Mike never really got embarrassed, usually too focused on trying to fix the situation to care. So, that's exactly what he planned on doing.

"Hi, um," he started, frantically scanning his brain for any inclination on what to say next. "I'm Mike."

"Uh," the older girl finally seemed to be brought back into reality; however she still looked, understandably, bewildered. "I'm Vicky."

Not actually caring what her name was, Mike finally blurted out something reasonable, "Wheres Robin?"

"Oh," Vicky seemed to relax a little, probably comforted by the fact that she could mannerly send Mike away for another to deal with. "She's in the back with Steve."

"Can I see her?" Mike was pleasantly surprised at Steves presence, he hadn't hung out with Robin at Scoops for a few weeks now. Not that he was worried for the pairs friendship, in fact, Robin still kept him updated with the hilariously idiotic situations that Steve asked for advice on how to fix his reputation - except apparently they had only been speaking on the phone. Mike had usually been far gone with hysterical laughter at Steves failures to even ponder over the question at the time.

"Sure."

Mike eagerly sprinted past Vicky, yet again leaving her dumbfounded, and aggressively swung the 'employees only' door open, almost ripping it of its hinges. In direct reaction to the sharp bang as the metal door slammed into the wall, two pairs of shocked wide eyes immediately focused all of their attention to him, relaxing once they became aware that the familiar lanky teenager was definitely no threat. There they were, Robin Buckley and Steve Harrington sitting across from each other in the back room of Scoops Ahoy. Mike couldn't help but feel a little nostalgic at the sight, even though he barely visited them when they worked there together.

On the table in front of them, there were two half-eaten ice cream sundaes. Although the room seemed to be reaching artic temperatures, the ice cream was still slowly melting; merging with rich red sauce and drowning the whipped cream and bright, juicy cherry whilst simultaneously mixing with the colourful sugary sprinkles. Mikes mouth watered at the tempting sight and his stomach reminded him that he hadn't eaten since breakfast, however he only got time to take in the beauty of the sundae for half a second before Steve spoke up.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Wheeler!" He verbally attacked the teenager, scolding him like a mother would tell of their child for doing something dangerous. Mikes attention reluctantly drifted to the man, who was preparing to admonish him further. Mike decided he didn't have the time or the will to argue with him so he just stood back and allowed Steve to lecture him.
