The clones formed three hand seals and dug into the ground. Sasuke and Sakura watched with anticipation what was about to happen. They were half surprised when the three of them escaped capture, but only because Naruto expected it.
The one on the left shouted, "You wouldn't know the subtlety if he hits you in the face, blond!" He dispelled the clone, his companions doing the same. The clones had really allowed themselves to dissipate to appear weak. The truth was that they had been detected.
He shouted, "Did you really think we would fall into such pathetic patterns so easily? Come and we could let you live. You can't escape!"
Frowning, Sasuke jumped up with Sakura by his side, eyes wide and suspicious. Now it all depended on Naruto.
"Where's the blonde?" asked the nin Ame eagerly, whom Sasuke suspected to be the leader.
Sasuke replied tightly, "He went to find us a hiding place after leaving us with the clones."
He was absolutely sure the leader was smiling at them behind his breathing apparatus and said mockingly, "Alright, kids, put your parchment back."
Sasuke took the sky parchment out of his bag and tossed it to the chief, who easily grabbed it.
He looked happy. "A scroll from heaven! Perfect! It will go perfectly with our earthly scroll. You two: kill them." The two behind him drew their kunai and stepped forward.
Sakura stuttered fearfully as she took a step back, "Bu-But you said-"
"I said I could let you live, and decided I wouldn't. Now hurry up and kill them," he said impatiently.
"TALLY HO!" The sound of Naruto's overly happy roar was heard. Sasuke and Sakura immediately jumped back, but Soul's three ninja made the grave mistake of turning in the direction of the voice.
"The Sky Scroll" in the chief's hand has proven to be a very effective and explosive beacon. Sasuke and Sakura, even on the ground, were almost thrown a few feet from the explosion. It was a testament to the dangerousness of the labels used by Naruto.
"It was pretty good," his voice pierced the smoke. Sasuke and Sakura looked up to see Naruto smiling, Earth Scroll in hand. Sasuke growled just as he stood up.
"I agree." He was a little confused by the explosion with Sakura, but everything would be fine in a few seconds.
"Naruto? Are they ...?" Sakura asked, not really wanting to know.
Naruto nodded, "Of course they're dead. The one who would stand as close as those three on the label." He tossed the parchment of Earth at Sasuke, "Keep it with you. I'll make the decoys."
When Sasuke and Sakura covered him up, Naruto knelt down and pulled out his sealing supplies. He consistently signed the stamps for the next two minutes, adding a stamp to make the scrolls look exactly like the real thing, with a few other additions.
"Alright," Naruto sighed as he put his sealing supplies away. Handing the new scythes to Sasuke, who looked confused. Naruto explained, "Change of plans. You keep the fake scrolls, Sakura and I will keep Earth and Heaven. Remember, there is an addition to the fake scrolls. The new ones I've given you now are screens of smoke, so I know be careful not to mix them up. "
Sasuke nodded and pocketed the rolls, giving his blonde teammate a gesture of thanks. "Ok, the same formation as before. This time we won't stop until we reach the tower."
They walked back through the trees, Naruto setting a comfortable pace to allow the other two to follow. He could have used shunshin to get them to the tower faster, but it was a good opportunity to see whatever team they meet for the next phase of the exam.
It wasn't long before the problems arose. Naruto tensed as he felt the very familiar and evil chakra move towards them, and quickly. And he was not alone ...
