Europa Point

Daniel and I leaned against the railing facing out towards the sea as we tried to catch our breaths back from the long run up here from my house.
We ran about a good 5km up here and surpassingly in under 30 minutes pushing it hard, so I think it was fare to say we needed the breather – although it seems Daniel was in need for it much more than I was.
Clearly he's lost his fitness from so much time going out with Lucy.
'Time?' he asked through long deep breaths.
I looked at my stopwatch to check how long we'd been running.
'26 minutes,' I replied wiping away some sweat from my forehead.
'Not bad... we've done better before, but... it's still pretty good.'
We continued to take deep breaths as the cool evening air hit against our faces from the edge of the cliff facing out to sea.
It was certainly a good evening to be out and more so with my best friend. As much as I hated to admit it I too had been lacking in keeping myself fit with all the focus on the baby and work – welcome to adult life, Kyle, I thought to myself.
Daniel took a deep breath and stretched out his arms, regaining his posture.
'We certainly need to get back into it, mate,' he said.
'Yeah, all this time out with the girlfriends does nothing for one's fitness,' I chuckled.
Daniel snorted as he leaned against the railing from his side to look around the rest of Europa Point. There were still some children with their parents running around the Europa Point playground, screaming and laughing as the sun slowly set in the west.
I looked around at them, watching as some of the Dads played with their sons and daughters, imagining the day that would be me.
My eyes however were very quickly diverted over to the Mosque on the right situated beside the tunnel we'd run through from Camp Bay to get to here. The lights of the Mosque had been turned on so they lit up the exterior of the building very well.
Seeing the Muslim families stood outside of it walking to their parked cars I couldn't help but wonder if Fatima and her aunt had managed to find out any solutions for the idea of marriage between us.
So far we still hadn't spoken much about it but what Yasmina had confirmed is it isn't entirely impossible. At the very least Fatima and I both shared a mutual interest in the idea of it, so at least she was just as keen on it as I was.
'You gonna be out with us this Friday?' asked Daniel.
I looked over to him and gave a nod of my head.
'Yeah, it be good to. Have a couple of drinks, enjoy the night.'
'Great, we'll probably be meeting outside Ocean Village at nine and then head over to Casino.'
'Casino eh? Sounds good. I'll bring my tuxedo,' I said with a chuckle.
We both shared a laugh together.
'Hey there's something I wanted your advice on by the way,' asked Daniel.
I raised a brow.
'Oh yeah, what's up?'
At first Daniel said nothing.
He bit the side of his lower lip with his eyes turned aside, anticipating his words before they even came out of his mouth.
