I don't know how long had passed since I was taken up to the Rosia Police Station and put into a holding cell to cool off.

They had taken everything off me in the custody room when filing down the report: my watch, my mobile, keys, wallet, even my belt should I use it as a weapon.

As far as I could remember I hadn't struggled or protested. I think I was still in too much shock of what had just happened that I wouldn't have been able to put up a struggle even if I wanted to.

I sat in my cell with the door closed but they had kept the small window open should I want a drink or anything. I think I asked one of the policewomen for a coffee though I wasn't sure how long ago I'd asked her.

My head was just burning with a fire that I felt like being sick. The adrenaline had already left my body ages ago so the pain from Zach's punch at this point had become very noticeable and very intolerable – I still don't know if they've brought him up as well or they've taken him to a hospital, I thought to myself.

Either way I didn't care.

My thoughts were running back and forth thinking of Fatima and the shame I was feeling to the fear of her finding out. No doubt she would find out, be it from Zach or something else.

I feel disgusted with myself.

I buried my head in my hands for however long had passed before I noticed the tapping sound of something metal and looked over to the cell door.

'Here you go, dear,' said the policewoman I'd asked for a coffee from earlier.

I took a deep breath and stood up from my seat to approach the cell door to take the coffee.

'Thank you,' I said.

She moved out of sight and another voice answered back.

'We're about to open the door,' said a male police officer, 'so please take a step back and don't move.'

I gave a nod to myself, being that no one else was in sight, and just went with the procedures as they followed.

The cell door opened and they asked for me to follow them back into the custody room which was directly connected to the holding cells. It was pretty quiet now around the office although I noticed a few voices shouting in one of the interview rooms directly on my right as I walked out – most likely other arrests from tonight.

I didn't recognize Zach's voice amongst the people shouting, so he'd clearly been taken to hospital, but from the way the police were urging the people to calm down before they'd have to take legal actions it didn't sound like they were keeping their cool.

As harsh as you might feel police are being with you after an arrest it's more for their own safety as well as your own that you simply do as they say, comply with them and not make things difficult – especially when the situation I've gotten myself into is difficult enough.

I have no idea what's become of Daniel, Lucy or Ikram after I was arrested. Most likely Ikram has gone home and as for Daniel and Lucy, well, it's probably better if they do the same too.

This is clearly something I'm going to have to deal with on my own.

'Kyle Christian Wilkins?' said the police officer sat behind the custody desk reading out my full name.

'Yes,' I stood up from the bench I was sat on against the wall.

The officer went through the papers and read through them as he spoke to me.
