A L E X I S

Sophie and I had dinner without my mom and went straight up to my room after so I could at least go to bed early but I was distracted when my phone vibrated.

Jazz: Lexi what's good? Andy said you didn't talk to him much.

Me: Yeah, I just don't know why Christina bothered me so much, I should be used to it right?

Jazz: No you shouldn't! I don't know why you don't just stand up for yourself and put her in her place!

Me: You know I hate the attention.

Jazz: But you still get attention and it's the negative kind

Me: Let this next three months just fly by

Jazz: Alright then, I'm going to the movies; I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Me: Bye!

After hitting the send button, it didn't take long before I fall asleep but not before setting my alarm.

I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm clock it made me groan but I was glad because at least Jazz wouldn't need to wake me up. I  pushed myself to the bathroom and got ready.

When I was done with my hair, I took out my outfit of the day which was a yellow long sleeve shirt with yellow checkered vest and an ankle length skirt.

I took a quick look in the mirror and nodded in approval before grabbing my glasses from the table.

As I walked into the halls I could feel people staring at me. They are probably still talking about yesterday's incident. I just lowered my head and kept walking. When I came into class, I went straight to the back.

Kyle came in a little later and moved around the rowdy classroom looking for an empty seat but the only available seat left was the one next to me.

As he made his way to the seat, my heart skipped a beat.

I've never been this close to the school's golden boy, it feels surreal.

"Is this seat taken?" His deep voice sent shivers down my spine and I couldn't answer so I just shook my head.

He took out his phone and he went to messages and immediately Christina's chat popped up.

I wasn't stalking or anything, that would be extremely weird. The chairs are close to each other and I just happen to be looking that direction.

Of course. That shouldn't be a surprise though, it's Christina and Kyle.

Kyle opened the chat and immediately received a picture which he enlarged. It was mirror selfie of Christina in black underwear.

God wash my eyes! I have seen too much.

My eyes froze on the picture so much so that I  didn't even realize that the bell rang to signal the end of the class.

"What are you doing?" Kyle's voice jolted me back to reality.

My eyes darted from his phone to his face which wore an annoyed look.

"Are you into girls?" He raised his eyebrow and I just couldn't answer.

"Weirdo." He muttered before exiting the classroom.

My first chance to talk to a guy like Kyle and it went all wrong! Why was I too nervous to answer?

During lunch, Andy and Jasmin saw me from the queue waiting for me to grab my tray and gestured me to come to them. I smiled and went on my way but Christina popped out of nowhere with her minion so I kept on walking like I didn't see them.

This cannot be good.

Her brunette friend, Caitlin came over to my right hand side, while the redhead, Charlotte came to my left hand side and then Christina came to my front together they were the C3.

Sounds powerful, I know! It makes me mad too.

I finally stopped walking and at this point I think everyone was watching again.

"Didn't you see me walk towards you?" She poked my shoulder but I didn't answer.

"Answer her bitch!" Charlotte rolled her eyes.

"Didn't you hear me? I asked you a question." She poked me again. "When I ask you a question, I expect a reply." She repeatedly poked me.

"I-I'm s-sorry." I stuttered, my brain had already stopped working.

"I had to change because of you and it's not fair that I had to pay for a mess that you made! It cost me $500 to dry clean your mess. So pay up nerd!" She shoved me but my grip on my food was strong otherwise it would have fallen down.

What? $500? Even Jeff Bezos wouldn't let his daughter spend that much on dry cleaning!

I cleared my throat knowing fully well that I  didn't have any money on me.

"I'll give you the money, can I just get a little bit more time?" I whispered so only she could hear me.

" You don't have any money on you right now?" She yelled loud enough for people to hear erupting in laughter from her and her minions.

"If you don't have money, you shouldn't be having lunch, don't you think?"

"Forget the mess for a second Chris, take a look at her outfit, even a five year old knows how to dress themselves." Caitlin shoved me again.

My eyes were already really moist and I kept on trying to blink my tears away put it betrayed me and stained my cheek instead.

"Aww, she's crying, hey everyone look its the nerdy crybaby!" Caitlin mocked causing people to chuckle.

My feet started moving backwards. I dropped my tray on the nearest table and sprinted out of the cafeteria. Ruining my lunch has become a daily habit to these people.

I strolled outside to the garden where the bench was located. Tears streamed down my face and I didn't even bother trying to hold it.

I thought this year would be my best since it's my last but it looks like it's going be the worst year of my life here.

A picture of Christina appeared in my head and I could feel my fists clench.
