War - Chapter 1

It was just another lousy day in the war zone, the weather was cold and snowing. Hybrid Man woke up at 3 AM.

" Close the alarm ODIN.," said Jason Sparks aka Hybrid Man

" As you wish, Master Jason," said ODIN.

Jason Sparks aka Hybrid Man headed to the bathroom and brushed his teeth. He went back to his room and changed his clothes. He had to work out. He looked outside to see the snow, he could see the snowflakes with his eagle eyes. He sat down on his bed and thought for a while. He was thinking that when this slavery will end, Doctor Bradford the creator of Hybrid Man using Jason as a mercenary to capture cities and kill people. Jason Sparks never had the chance to make real friends and socialize with normal people. Jason Sparks was feeling that everything is going to change someday and He could finally do good. Hybrid Man hardly opened the door, snow was almost 60cm. He got out of his room. Outside was -3 degrees Celsius. He headed to the gym. Sidewalks were completely covered by snow. After 5 minutes, he arrived at the gym. He opened the big steel door slowly and went through. He could smell the rubber scent in the air. The gym was massive for such a small group of people. Jarvis Genetics can build massive buildings within hours by using a gigantic 3D building printer. Doctor Bradford using the world's greatest company to kill innocent people for money. Hybrid Man had to work out every day for 6 hours. He could only sleep 3 hours a day. There was only a couple of staff at that time of the day. Other people were scared of Jason Sparks. He went to the gym's kitchen and made himself an energy drink. He was feeling more energetic, he headed to the treadmill. He ran for 2 hours while watching his favorite documentary. Jason Sparks aka Hybrid Man wanted to relax for 15 minutes and sat on the couch. He heard a running sound from 300 meters away, after 3 minutes a skinny mercenary came inside. Hybrid Man could hear his heartbeat thanks to his bat ears. The skinny mercenary was nervous. Hybrid Man looked the skinny mercenary in the eye and

" Hello sir." said the skinny mercenary.

"Why are you here? I want to train alone and you know it. Get out now!! I had time till 7 AM. I have to finish my training." said Hybrid Man.

" I am sorry sir. but We have to leave in 10 minutes, sir. We have to capture another place. These guys are no joke, they are using explosives we already lost 10 of our men. Doctor Bradford told me to find you, sir." said the skinny mercenary nervously.

" I am in the middle of a training. I am not coming. You guys don't even need me with those guns. Tell Doctor Bradford that I am busy. I am done doing what is told. We are capturing cities for more than 2 months. We have to stop." said Jason Sparks aka Hybrid Man.

" But sir, You have to come. We are nothing without you. You are our only chance. You are created for killing. It is a direct order from Doctor Bradford" said the skinny mercenary.

" Don't ever say that to me, soldier. Who do you think you are?" said Jason Sparks.

Hybrid Man looked angry, the skinny mercenary left the room immediately. Jason was a good person who never had a chance to help people or do good. Doctor Bradford was controlling him and Doctor Bradford was the only person who could control Hybrid Man.

Jason went to the gym's kitchen, he opened the left-down cupboard and took his favorite tea. He lay down on the couch for a while. After 4 minutes, Doctor Bradford came inside the gym.

" When I gave you an order, you do it without second-guessing!! Let's go, we have a place to capture. I cannot waste my time convincing you. Like you have a chance to not obey my rules. Don't make me use it. Get yourself together. Helicopter waiting for you outside." said Doctor Bradford.

"I am not your slave and one day that thing you are using to make me obey will not work. I am done killing people for you. You are a selfish person who only cares about money." said Hybrid Man.
