-Y/N POV -
Cold wind met my face as I rushed through the streets in a big hurry. My tired body ran as fast as it could, trying not to trip over anything as I was still tired. My lungs tried to cooperate with the sudden exercise, not being completely awake yet.
I woke up half an hour ago by the sound of an ear-screeching ringing, interfering between me and my dreamless sleep.
Sleeping is something that I love to do, but I just can't seem to get enough time to do it. When I wake up in the morning, I feel like I almost haven't slept at all.
Normally, I can get out of bed without a lot of problems, if I go to bed at an acceptable time, but yesterday my best friend Jackson came over and left late in the night, so I hadn't slept for a very long time.
It's not like we didn't spend a lot of time together. It's quite the opposite, actually. Whenever he comes over, it's like we lose track of time which makes us go to bed late at the night.
You could say my sleeping schedule is messed up, and my best friends would agree immediately. They try to make me promise them that I will go to bed early, but I won't make a promise that I can't keep.
After I turned off my alarm I quickly got ready for my shift at my job. I don't like arriving late, people have expectations from me, and I can't disappoint them.
While I was running towards my job, I noticed that my shoelaces were untied. I saw I had arrived at the crosswalk, and that the traffic light was red, which gave me the time to quickly tie the shoelaces back again.
When I stood back up, I glanced at the small timer on the traffic light, which indicated for how long the light was going to remain red.
1 minute and 38 seconds. Great.
I took out my phone from my backpack. I noticed I received some messages from a certain friend.
2 messages from Wang Puppy
Wang Puppy: Hey Y/N-iee~ ^-^
Wang Puppy: I'm sorry I stayed until so late. I hope you didn't have any problems waking up
Wang Puppy: Wait who am I kidding? Of course you had trouble waking up -_-'
Wang Puppy: You take such bad care of yourself, that I just want to put you in a bubble :3
Wang Puppy: And you didn't forget breakfast, did you?????
I felt a smile creeping up my face, reading the messages. I hope no one saw that.
Me: Hey Jackie! No worries, it was fun last night :)
Me: Yah what do you mean I take bad care of myself? I'm still alive and living TT
Me: Oops I guess you know me too well 0_0 I will eat something at the café. See ya <3
I put my phone back in my pocket. Jackson is a weirdo, but he's such a goofball when it comes to me. I am so lucky to have him in my life, he knows me inside out. I laughed silently.
I looked back at the timer and saw there were only ten seconds left. I felt that my heartbeat had returned back to its normal state, after that sprint.
The traffic light jumped to green, and I started running again.
My job was at a small café, not too far from my apartment. I have had the job for like half a year, and it has been a very nice and cozy place to work. My boss is also a very nice and understanding person.
