It's been so long I have begun to forget what the dark feels like.
The harsh cold winds of uncertainty loosens its grip on my heart
as a soft glow spills from your lips,
I begin to feel the dense concrete walls around my soul crumble.
Warm luminescent rays shine through the cracks of my defenses.

Is this what love feels like?

The feeling I was so petrified to be held captive by, but this isn't captivity, it is the blissful freedom I have hopelessly yearned for.
The longer you stay the brighter the soft light grows.
A feeling of fulfillment covers my heart and a longing to be in your arms takes over.
Even from this distance I can still feel the warmth of your fluorescent glow. My soul lust for you in ways new to me, my breathe unsteady by the thought of you.
but for now all I can do is say I love you.
