Up on the roof top , January night,
Alone beneath the endless sky ,
Marveling about the city of stars;
Lost in to the unknown ,city so far;
There lives my lover ;
A hunter who never descends,
Ever wished to break his pretense?
Bow in his hand, arrow in my heart,
Enchanting song , falling in love ,
Wonder if it is in my fate,
Falling for someone I cannot get,
And it isn't a prize I win in a race;
Haven’t you heard ?
Frozen heart cuts like a blade;
Deep in the dark I lost my grace
The deeper I fall, the higher I fly,
Wait for me at the corner of sky,
Millions of miles ,too far to close,
It's about love, no one else to choose.
A dream to break ,a heart to hurt ,
Hope lives in vain, stars fall apart.
Leave me again , tear my heart,
Sing for once before you depart.
This poem is very special to me. From my very childhood, I was fascinated with Orion constellation, the hunter from the Northwestern sky. I truly believed that he was a hunter , not just stars( I still do kind of). ⭐ He radiates the kind of energy which is wild and free. It is maddening to me. Very often I just wish to explore the sky with him, even if it is not possible. There is another fact. The legend of Orion and Scorpion. As a scorpio I somehow feel very connected to him . I know it sounds crazy 🙃. But these are the reasons which inspired this poem.
This is a fan art from the Mortal Instruments .... I suggest everyone to read this series...❤❤... No one can portray love like Cassandra Clare...❤
