Broken, but saved

Chapter 6

"So, Izuku why'd you bring us out to this dirty beach? There's nothing here but garbage." Himiko said as they walked down the beach. Takoba Muncipal's Beach Park was, for the most part, clean and sparkling. However, there was one section of the beach that was filthy and looking like a trash dump. 

"Well, I did some research, and this one section has been like this for a few years. The currents cause plenty of things to drift into this one section. And eventually, people started dumping their garbage here, too. Even though they shouldn't." Izuku explained, Taking them past the graffiti-covered sign And down into the dump, where a surprise waited for them. "Come on, Uncle Might! You're 274 kilo's alone!"

A young girl's voice cried out, followed by a booming laughter.

"Not true, I've lost some weight! I'm only 255 kilo's now." As the trio rounded the corner, they saw a young blonde girl about their age, struggling to pull a refrigerator with a rope that was wrapped around it, with All Might perched on the top. The hero quickly noticed them from his perch, and got down to go greet them. "Melissa! These are those kids I was telling you about. The green-haired one is the one who asked if he could become a hero without a quirk." Melisa came over to greet them.

"Hi! My name's Melissa Shield, it's nice to meet you all!" She said, wiping the sweat from her forehead. She had blue eyes, long blonde hair, and toned muscles that were shown by her workout outfit.

"Hey, I'm Himiko Toga. This is Izuku Midoriya, and this is Katsuki Bakugo." Toga stepped forward, offering her a bottle of water, which was accepted. "We were coming here to get ourselves into shape before the UA exams."

"Oh, you all are applying to UA as well? What are your quirks? Well, not you, Izuku. No offense." Mellissa asked, her eyes widening in excitement.

"My quirk is transformation. If I ingest someone's blood, I can transform into them and temporarily use their quirk." Himiko said, flipping her butterfly knife out of her pocket.

"My quirk is explosions. I secrete a nitroglycerin-like substance from my palms, which I can ignite at will." Bakugo said, making little firecrackers.

"What's your quirk?" Izuku asked Melissa.

"O-oh, My quirk is j-just a basic power-up type." Melissa said nervously. He noticed her glancing at All Might, who shook his head ever so slightly. What are they hiding? Izuku wondered, before shaking it off. "Anyways, are you here to work out along with me?" She asked, to which they nodded in the affirmative.

"Yeah. We're here to get a workout while also clearing out this section of the beach, make it look good." Bakugo said, taking his jacket off and putting it to the side. "So, I'm just gonna start sorting through this stuff over here." He said, moving to one of the larger piles of junk.

*As time passed, Izuku and his friends cleared the beach out, pile by pile. Eventually, with the four of them, the beach was cleared in a matter of 4 months. After that, they all began looking or places to go and help their community at, earning the respect and support of many people in their neighborhood.*

**Time skip, 2 months to UA exam**

"Hey guys, we've got a request for help at the local food shelter. Apparently there was a big fight in Downtown Takodama, and they want our help sending supplies out that way." Melissa said, putting her phone down.

"No problem. Kacchan, Toga, let's go!" Izuku called up the stairs. They had set up their own makeshift agency at Bakugo and Toga's house, much to the delight of Bakugo's parents.

"All right, all right, don't get your shorts in a knot!" Toga called back, skipping down the stairs with Bakugo close behind. "Miss Bakugo, can you drive us down to the food shelter? They need our help."
