Josie's pov

                       Dear diary, something is going to happen this year I can tell. To catch you up, I finally came out to Hope. She was amazing about it and as crazy as it sounds she came out to me as bi. The only other person I know that is gay is my big sister Lizzie's bestfriend Penelope. You see I have always had a crush on her since I was like 10. I always tried to hang out with them because I wanted to see her, but this year I am gonna try to move on... Penelope only thinks of me as Lizzies little sister. It hurts but it will be okay.  -August 6

    Today is my first day of junior year. I am so not ready for this. I woke up to lizzie screaming "JOSIE IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED I WILL DUMP WATER ON YOU!" as soon as I heard that I was wide awake. I checked my clock and it was 6:30 a.m. I went to my closet and picked out a simple pair of black jeans and a White hoodie. When I put on the hoodie I realized what it said "parkland Softball" and then it hit me this was Penny' s hoodie she gave during the summer when I spilt my drink on me at her tournament. My Family has always loved Penelope, you see Penelope has a tough home life, She lives with her dad but he is not really around. Ever since we met Pen my parents, Lizzie, and I always go to every single game she plays. I picked up my phone and see two unopened texts.

Hopey: yo wake your ass up and get tf to my house!

Penny: Good morning JoJo, do you know what time yall are picking me up ?

As soon as I saw Hopes text I rolled my eyes and sent a simple 

Josie: We are leaving now but we have to pick up Pen.

I went to go read my other text and saw it was from Penny, when I saw her name I started smiling so wide. I went to reply back but Lizzie yelled "Jo come on were going to get Pen" I shoved my phone in my pocket and walked down stairs. "Ah the little munchkin is finally awake." my dad says. I just smiled and said "Good morning to you to dad." Lizzie and I hoped into her white jeep, basic I know. Lizzie and I drive for about 10 minutes and we finally arrive to Penelope's house. I looked over and saw lizzie sending a text to Penelope that said "get your ass outside I'm here."

Penelope's pov

I get a text from Lizzie that says

Lizard: Get your ass outside I'm here.

I did not care to reply so I just left her on read. When I walked outside and see the oh so familiar white jeep I also see Josie getting in the backseat. Lizzie asked Josie why she let me sit up front and Jo answers with a simple "Whenever Penny sits in the back she get nauseous" I just look at Josie and smile. How did she know that about me? After about five minutes talking to Liz and subtlety glancing over to Josie we arrived to Hope, Josie's bestfriends House. I look back at Josie and we make a face because we both know what is about to happen. Liz starting honking and I look at the front door and see Hope sticking up her middle finger to Lizzie. Hope hopped in the car and kissed Josie on her cheek and said good morning. Hope looked at me and says " morning Satan's other half." Liz just glared and Jo and I let out a small laugh. It took up 15 minutes and a whole lot of bickering to get to school, When we finally got there I got out and opened the door for Josie like I do every time I ride in he car with her. She says a quick " thank you penny." I feel my cheeks heat up so I just play it off by teasing her "So you can't text me back but you can wear my hoodie?" I ask with a smirk on my face. I see Josie's face turn bright red and I find it absolutely adorable. She manages to stutter out "I-I- I was about t-to text you b-but Liz told me to come down stairs. I just start laughing and she stairs at me in anger and slaps me playfully. I say "I'm sorry" and she is just looking at me " Fine fine I am really truly sorry JoJo, can you forgive me?" she just looks at me and giggles "maybe" was all she said and walked away from me. Wow I really do love her.
