Accident

"Ready for the movie night ?"

"SOOOOO ready I take my keys and I arrive "

I take my car to meet my best friend Lenni because he has something to tell me. So we decided to have a movie night just the two of us, it will be at his place because everything is closed due to the snowstorm that is hitting Montreal. Besides, I should have gone to his place earlier, I see absolutely nothing wih this storm. I stop for a few minutes to tell Lenni that I will be a little late. After sending my message, I'm getting ready to restart when I feel a shock and tremendous pain in my head. I don't have time to understand what just happend, everything around me is getting dark.

Lenni's POV

I get the message from Y/n telling me she's going to be late. So I sit on the couch, stressed, and fall asleep. After 2-3 hours my phone rings.

"Mister Lalande ? You are the only one I managed to reach. So I have some bad news to tell you, we found miss Y/l/n in a bad state, so she is in the hospital. She would have had a car accident and in view of her condition we decided to put her in an artificial coma. If you want more information, I'll be waiting for you at the hospital"

I'm listening but I'm shocked it's all my fault. I take the car in turn to go to the hospital, the strom has calmed down but I'm still careful.

When I arrive at the hospital a doctor greets me, he tries to reassure me and explain to me, but I have only one idea in my head to see Y/n again. He leads me to her room and I see her with all these devices around her. Tears flow and I rush to kiss her on the forehead, apologize for making her take this risk...

A few weeks go by, I never left her bedside, I stayed there all the time, night and day I stood there holding her hand. I don't konw how long I'm going to last, I'm strong but seeing the one I love in this state I can only collapse, what if she never wakes up ? Don't think about that Lenni, she's strong, she'll get there.

Y/n's POV

I open my eyes and find myself in a hospital room, my whole body hurts. I turn my head slightly and see Lenni. How long has he been there? His eyes are red and he has dark circles. He looks at me, and cries his head pressed against my hand.

"I'm so sorry, I love you so much Y/n, I knew you were going to wake up"

I laugh a little then remember everything... I'm here because Lenni wanted to tell me something and curious as I am the first thing I ask him is:

"What did you want to tell me? The day I had the accident "

"Are you serious, are you waking up from a coma and the thing you ask is this? He laughed. "I just wanted to tell you that I love you and... would you like to be my girlfriend? " He's blushing.

I get up a bit, take his head in my hands and put my lips on his.

"I thought you would never ask"
