Yeji's POV
Ah, today was a long day indeed. I did my English assignment by collecting 2 types of communication journal and determined their structure. I could have asked for answers to Ryujin or Yuna but I was still bitter at them for calling me stupid all the time and acted like I was one. Argh, they didn't have to be that hard on me. What's so bad for having a bad-at-academic friend? I'm a school star. I score so many points for The Fuzz. I got them into a National Competition. Why are people so hard to please?
Shoot, why was I overthinking over Ryujin and Yuna for calling me stupid? It was nothing new and they were just teasing me. Should I apologize to them for leaving them today? Damn.. I am indeed stupid but apologizing might be too much. I would just stay quiet for now. I let out a sigh and stretched before sleeping.
My body was quite stiff from today's practice and I got so tired at this hour. As I was about to sleep, I remembered to ask the new girl about Mr. Park's notes. I had to do my classes right this time. If I could copy it, I would definitely learn something rather than nothing at all. Damn, screw Ryujin. And Yuna too for annoying the hell out of me.
Wait.. I didn't know what to write on emails...
"Hey new girl"
What were you thinking?? I deleted the last two words and rewrote a new one.
"Hey, this is the link to our article.

Please help me with the class's notes. Thanks!"Sent.
I better be sleeping soon. Don't think too much, Yejiya. Don't sleep too late tonight.

Chaeryeong's POV
Ping!
A notification popped up on my phone when I was preparing for bed. From the sound of it, it seemed like I received a new email on my school account. Who sent a message at this hour? Isn't it a little too late for an assignment?
I managed to lock my apartment door and close the windows curtains before heading to my room. I lived only with my older sister in this flat since my family lived miles away from Seoul. I moved here to get out of my previous school that was full of hate. Luckily the dean could transfer my first year transcript so that I could continue to my sophomore at any university with the same major, Communication Science. Hanlim is one of the top communication schools in Seoul. I heard they also had a great dance team. I wonder if I could join one later.
I reached for my phone and typed my passcode down. I opened the mailbox to find the unread message. Oh, it was my first mail after all since it's the first day of being a Hanlim student.
From: Hwang Yeji <hwang0052@hanlim.ac.kr>
To: You <lee0769@hanlim.ac.kr>

Please help me with the class's notes. Thanks!"Oh, it's the athlete that I sat next to — so her name's Hwang Yeji. I tried to remember her face. I could picture her bright orange hair, of course. It was so obnoxious. I remembered her eyes too, they were not big but looked so sharp and had an interesting shape, WHICH made her look more like an icy person. She wore a perfectly fit baseball varsity jacket on her. That was the reason why I assumed whether she's an athlete.
An Ice Queen [1]. It described my first impression of her. She walked past me before lunch today without saying anything like I was not there at all. She's a little bit too cool, though. She could've worn a little smile when interacting with people. I didn't think she's just cocky, but.. this email doesn't sound cold at all. Nevermind, I don't know her.
I would reply to her tomorrow morning then. It was already too late thinking about my first day and the Ice Queen.
Speaking of my sister, Chaeyeon, she's working in a radio station as an announcer. She got an offer from South Korea's number one music radio a few months ago and got accepted the following fortnight. Not long after, she arranged her move to Seoul and offered me to go with her since she knew I had a hard time at my previous school. I agreed to go with her and took care of my transfer administration from the dean of the department. I had no friends there yet so it was easier for me to start fresh somewhere else.

Our parents were very supportive of us moving out. They even drove us to Seoul for hours to get to this apartment that our parents rented for us. It wasn't as expensive as we predicted so it's a very good deal. It was a blessing that our family support us both emotionally and financially. Our father ran a legacy of family business that let us live comfortably up to this day. Having money doesn't necessarily make your life easy, just for the record.

Chaeryeong turned off her phone and put it on her side table. She then pulled in her blanket and tucked her bed. Once she got into a comfortable position, she closed her eyes to sleep.
The night went by silently and everyone slept peacefully.
