××NICCOLO'S POV××

I finally made it to the outskirts. I am getting closer with each step. This place is abandoned for a long time, how many years now? But I am sure there will be ruins here...
I sat under a tree, it's shade helped me calm down. The sweat trailed the back of my body, just a breeze would help.

I placed my backpack down and opened it, took a water bottle and took a sip. I tied my horse a little far away from where I am. As the water went down my throat, I felt relieved. A sigh left my lips as I kept my bottle back in and took a deep breath before getting up and swinging my backpack behind me.

I heard something, a distant sound.
Turning around I saw a rustle in the tree infront of me.

"Stay where you are!"

I heard a firm voice, a female's voice?
I raised my arms up, will they attack me?

"Good... Weapons down"

There were more rustles before a few people started climbing down the trees and approach near me but they stopped at a distance.

Then I turned front to see a female get down the tree. Barbarians?

She pulled an arrow and pointed at me
"Who are you? What did ya come here for?"
She asked, her eyes fixed on me.
If I didn't answer I can imagine the arrow piercing through me - I know it, by the way she looked at me.

"An explorer! Nothing more!"
I responded, my voice cracked. The situation just got worse.

She glanced at the others and lowered her bow with a nod.
"It's dangerous here...come with us"

"....my horse"

"We already have it"
The female responded as she pointed behind me.

A guy was standing beside my horse...MY horse?? Wait what?!

I nodded and decided to travel with them.

Just after a little distance - I saw it.
It was a village?
It was never a ruin- it was never abandoned?

"What?"
I mumbled under my breath.

"I will take care of our guest...good work guys! You did exceptional!"
The female stated.

"Thank you!"
The rest of them responded. The female seemed to lead this group for hunting? Judging by their weapons, I believe so.

The female gave them a warm smile.
The smiled back at her, what was with this woman's smile? I shook my head slightly and looked around the place. It was a pretty decent, good atmosphere but the people around seemed like...savages..

I travelled to the female's house as she suggested me to- I accepted or else she would have threatened me.

"Well! Whats your name, Explorer?"
She spoke as she walked forward, she had a hold of my horse and plus I can't take a run for it, not at all.
Her voice sounded uplifting and quite gentle.

"I...I am Niccolo"

"Ah! Mister Niccolo? I am Sasha Braus! You can call me Sasha"
She stated as she turned to face me and shot a smile. I was confused

We soon reached her house and we were greeted by a man.

"Ah! Sasha!"
The man said with a wide smile and spread his arms across, Sasha ran over and hugged him.
