„Today we acknowledge a really terrible loss"

3rd persons POV:

Y/N,Hermione,Harry and Ron have been learning for their exams so much lately that they now have a bit of time to relax before the final exams together with the third task arrive. Y/N has told Hermione about her and Harry's "moment" as soon as she got to the dormitory that night and since then Hermione has been teasing her constantly.

Harry and Y/N have been really close lately,they have been hanging out constantly. They haven't talked about their kiss yet, with all that learning and preparing for the exams they haven't had the time to. It wasn't like they felt uncomfortable around each other because of it.

Cedric had finally stopped ignoring Y/N because as in his words their argument was "super immature and childish", which Y/N couldn't agree more with. They haven't been spending a lot time together because again of the exams,he is preparing with his friends because they have far more complicated subjects and spells in 7th year.

June 10th:

"Checkmate" Ron said proudly for the second time as him and Y/N were sitting at breakfast in the great hall.

"How do you do that?" Y/N frowned. "How can you be so good at chess??"

"It's called talent" Ron teased getting an eye roll from Y/N.

"Are you playing chess Y/N??" Hermione asked As she made her way over to Y/N and dropped a few heavy books on the table. "What happened to learning??"

"I thought we were done with all of these" Y/N said picking up two of the books hermione had brought. "And these" she said going through the other books.

"When you read them doesn't mean you know everything that it's in them, it doesn't harm reading them again" Hermione snapped.

"You literally quizzed me yesterday...I think I'm ok" Y/N said as she gave hermione the books back. "I will just refresh the night before every exam and I'll be fine"

"If you say so" Hermione sat down next to her and opened one of the books and started reading it.

Harry also arrived at the table and sat down next to Ron. "Playing chess??" He asked.

"Yes, but as always Y/N can't beat me" Ron proudly said.

"You think you are a funny one don't you?" Y/N fake smiled. "I'm just not good at chess, that's all"

"You beat me like yesterday" Harry said. "You are better than you think you are" he added.

"When did you two play chess??" Hermione looked up from her book. "We had classes all day and after we went to the library"

"At night in the common room" Y/N responded "I couldn't sleep so Harry accompanied me in the common room...that's all"

"Yeah" Harry agreed making Ron smirk slightly. Y/N just rolled her eyes as she looked over to the door of the common room where Cedric was arguing with Cho about something.

He made his way over to the Hufflepuff table and sat down beside his friends. Y/N stood up and made her way over to him,sitting down next to him after arriving.

"You alright??" She asked him,but depending on his red and filled with anger face, he wasn't alright at all.

"Not really" he replied.

"What happened with Cho??" She asked rather carefully because Cedric looked like he was about to explode.

"Jealousy" He replied coldly. "She thinks that one of her classmates fancies me and that I am showing her attention"
