Archer countered the attack, swerving to the left, Adelaide took another jab at his ribs. Once again, she was overpowered by Archer. They've been training all day, building up enough strength for their next mission. Sounds of swords clashing filled the air.

"You've gotten slower, Ade." Archer teased, a smirk upon his full lips.

"Careful now, Arch, you might just end up with a sword in your stomach" Adelaide taunted.

Her next mission consisted of tracking the prince's movements and following him around. Prince Leo has guards who surround him, which meant Adelaide would have to be incredibly alert and silent. She'd have to be as invisible as a ghost, that wasn't a problem for her though, she wasn't called Stelenia's assassins for nothing. After practice had commenced, Adelaide went to her chambers. Since she was second in command, Archer had given her the one of the largest lodgings in the building. The main bedroom consisted of a queen-sized bed, a large, white vanity, one desk, two small bedside tables on either side of the bed. There was also an extra door that led to a bathroom.

Weapons lay over the bed and even some on the floor. Shoving them all to the side, Adelaide plopped down against her pillows. In her mind she was making up a plan on how to follow the prince around. The clock above the vanity informed her it was 4:00 a.m. Deciding it was too early for the prince to be up already, Adelaide strode toward the bathroom, stripped and stepped into the shower. Warm water engulfed her, easing away tension she'd acquired during practice with Archer.

Dressed in her black cloak, Adelaide pulled the hood onto her head and slipped out of her bedroom window. Making her way to the palace was fairly easy, considering it was only 5:30 a.m. The sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, roads were empty, all lights out.

Soon enough, the massive, white palace came into view. Adelaide could see the towers gold tips gleaming in the sunrise. The castle stood tall in the morning light. Windows on windows reinforced with bulletproof glass littered the palace front. Guards stood outside the steel gates, armed head to toe. The gates bore the royal seal. Adelaide scowled at it. Mapping a plan inside her head to get inside without causing the alarm to trip or alerting one of the guards attention. Adelaide slid behind the nearest building and made her way to the secret underground tunnels.

Darkness consumed her, it was too risky to bring some sort of light. Carefully, she started moving, listening intently on whether or not people were hidden in the dark. Hearing nothing, she continued on, her movements silent. The tunnels stretched on for miles. Twists and turns throughout the tunnel were built to confuse security, that is if they ever found them. Minutes later, Adelaide reached the end, light flooded her eyesight, temporarily blinding her. Regaining her senses, she gazed up at the palace. According to her calculations, it would appear she was right next to the ballroom. Feeling her way across the stone walls, in search for a trapdoor to lead her into the ballroom. The rough stone was cold underneath Adelaide's hand. Her hand brushed the door hidden in the wall. Edging it open, she slithered in.

The ballroom truly was a sight to see. Gold pillars stood around the incredible room, Maroon ribbon strung around them. The mixture of gold and maroon around the room made up the royal colors. The Callum bloodline certainly had a flair for the dramatic. Stone creatures engraved into every pillar. Tables and chairs carefully placed elegantly around the dance floor. A fountain made of gold sat in the middle of the room. Scoffing at the heavily decorated room, Adelaide made her way through, heading towards the double doors.

Prince Leo's room was on the top floor, the largest suite in the whole goddamn palace. Sneaking around, quiet enough that she wouldn't be heard, Adelaide climbed up to the highest floor. From there on, she'd have to be extremely cautious. Leo had guards positioned everywhere, they looked to be half asleep. Deciding to go through the balcony, she slipped into the closest room. There she eased herself onto the railing. Leo's balcony stood 8 feet away. This is what I've been training for, Adelaide thought. She readied herself, stepped backwards to get a running start, ran, jumped, and stuck the landing. Safely on the balcony, Adelaide peered through the glass doors. The prince lay asleep peacefully in his king-sized bed. Picking the lock, she then went inside.

"Spoiled, arrogant, bitch." Adelaide whispered as she took in the room before her.

The bedroom looked fit for a king. His bed alone was grander then anything Adelaide had ever seen. White wood decorated with gold made up the bed frame. Hundreds of suits hung in the open closet, the royal seal placed above where Leo's heart would be on all of them. The seal itself wasn't that horrific, unfortunately. The symbol was of a crown with two swords clashing behind it. A vanity stood against the wall. The mirror was massive and pristine. In the mirror, Adelaide could see the bathroom door open behind her. Heading in there, the first thing she saw was a jacuzzi. Leo's bathroom held nothing special. Exiting, she laid eyes on Leo. His dark hair was disheveled from his sleep, full lips slightly parted. He certainly was attractive, but that didn't excuse the hatred she felt towards the young prince.

The clock buzzed 6:00 a.m. Leo stirred in his sleep,
Adelaide quickly hid. The prince woke beginning his schedule. Leo stumbled his way to the bathroom, then came out just as a knock sounded on his door. Rubbing his eyes, the prince opened the door, a short, curvy maid stood there.

"Good morning, your majesty!" She smiled

"Good morning, Delilah" Leo yawned stepping aside so she could enter.

"Busy day today, huh?" Delilah said cheerfully as she made his bed.

"I suppose," Leo said slouching down into a chair, "I'll probably pass out by the end of it."

The maid smiled at the prince, the wrinkles around her eyes scrunching up. She looked about 40, rosy cheeks, eyes gleaming with a certain fondness as she studied Leo. Finishing up with the bed, Delilah strode toward the prince's closet. Rummaging through, she pulled out a black suit with a white dress shirt, and handed it to Leo. The prince stared at the suit, rose out of the chair, and stalked into the bathroom once again.

Leo came out looking picture-perfect like always. The black suit brought out his sapphire-blue eyes, they looked as clear as an ocean. Running a hand through his dark brown hair, he examined himself in the mirror. Then, glanced at Delilah who was grabbing a pin that contained the seal. She came up to Leo and pinned it onto the suits collar. Glancing at the time, she let out a little squeal and ushered the prince out of his room, fussing over him being late. And so, the day begins, Adelaide said internally.
