stuck in reality

I open up my eyes and see the familiar plain white ceiling of my room, I really want to just go back to Saito and grandma Minami.

I slowly sit up and my grey blanket slip off me, it's pretty cold today, I'll wear a sweatshirt today.

I slipped on my fluffy slippers and walked to the boring closet, opening up to see my winter clothes. I guess my parents put my summer clothes away.

I grabbed a light blue sweatshirt and a pair of baggy mom jeans. Maybe I should add some accessories, my mom said I'm going to see a therapist today.

I took my favourite checkered belt and a gold necklace and put those on, tucked in the sides of my sweatshirt.

"Sweetie come down and have some breakfast, I made some waffles for you!" My mom shouted to me from downstairs.

"Coming soon mom give me a second!" I shouted back and rushed to the bathroom. I quickly brushed my teeth and brushed my hair, untangling my dark hair.

I walked downstairs with my phone in hand and sat down at the table with my parents for breakfast.

"No phone at the table young lady, now hurry up we need to go soon." My father lectured me lightly, though it looked like he is in a good mood.

"Yes dad, I'll eat now." I rolled my eyes and put my phone down and started to eat my waffles. The sweet taste filled my mouth, definitely my favourite breakfast food.

I finished up and my parents did too, well I guess it's time to face reality, I gulped.

"It's cold put on a jacket, I'll start up the car." My father said and walked out to our front yard.

My mom handed me a puffy white jacket and I put it on, not bothering to zip up, I slipped on my shoes and jogged to the white car, we aren't rich so it's just a small normal family car.

My mother followed behind closing the door behind her and we got in the car, she took the front seat since I am only 7, though I say it's bullshit. I'm mature enough.

After 30 minutes we arrived to a tall white building, it had many floor windows and many black cars parked there.

My father parked the car and we got out, my mother took my small hand in hers and squeezed it. I looked up to her and she smiled warmly and gave me a thumbs up with her other hand.

We walked infront of the building and the automatic door opened and I took a step inside.

My parents led me to the front desk and I saw a middle aged lady and she greeted us nicely.

"We are here to see Dr. Stalison, booked for 8:30AM to 9:30AM." My mother spoke to her.

"Ah yes, her office is upstairs 1st room to the left, it will have her name tag outside the door." The front desk lady said kindly.

"Okay thank you very much, good day." My father said and we all walked to the stairs. My steps felt heavy and My heart is jumping out of my throat, I'm nervous, what if she thinks I'm a freak.

"Sweetie we're here, come on." I blinked and saw my parents already ahead of me.

"Oh okay, let's go." We slowly walked towards the door that had a sign that said 'M. Stalison'. My father knocked on the door lightly and I heard a gentle voice.

"You can come in Yona, guardians of Yona, please wait downstairs in the lobby." I felt nervous and walked in, trying not to make my footsteps very loud.

I looked back and my parents smiled at me and waved, I watched them until they disappeared down the stairs.

I closed the door behind and and saw a nice lady with blonde hair and green eyes, she was wearing a very professional white suit, and she sat at a glass table and ushered me to join her.

"Come here darling, I won't bite, take a seat." She smiled and pointed to a small modern chair besides her.

I smiled timidly and sat down on the chair.

"So Yona, I am Manon Stalison, I will be your therapy from now on, you can call me big sis, I just want you to relieve yourself and have fun here okay?" She gave off a very friendly aura.

"Okay Miss s- I mean big sis!" I smiled brightly, then she started to ask me questions and I told her everything about my dreams, Saito and Grandma Minami.

After an hour she explained to me how I have a great imagination, thus leading to daily vivid dreams. She said it's nice I have a comfort place but it isn't real. Though I always knew so, I was very upset.

"Well that sums up for today, we can talk more about it next time okay?" Big sis stood up and guided me to door and took me down to my parents. I greeted them with a big smile since the lady was nicer than I thought.

"How did it go darling?" My mother patted my head gently.

"Great, big sis helped me take the burden off my shoulder and I had a fun time!" I giggled quietly.

"Yes she did very well, she's a lovely girl with a lovely imagination, all I did was help her separate her imagination and reality." Big sis talked to my parents for a bit then waved us goodbye as she returned to her office.

My parents took me home too, I had an exciting day, I want to tell Saito and Grandma Minami about it, but I remembered they aren't real and I'm just talking to myself.

"Sweetie, sweetie?" My mother waved her hand infront of my face. "I wanted to ask what you want for lunch!"

"Can we have pizza today please!" I begged my mother. She smiled and nodded and called the delivery.

I went upstairs into my room and decided I'm just going to dream for a bit while I wait for food.

I played on my bed, closed my eyes and sleep hit me again.

"Sweetie, pizza's here come down!" I woke up again to my mother calling for me. Something wasn't right, why didn't I dream of Saito and Grandma Minami?

Maybe it isn't enough time, I threw the thought away and went downstairs to eat lunch.
