      Chapter 9:
      The Right Flowers

The house was a big, green painted house with a swinging chair on the porch. Walking inside, the two went to the right and entered the kitchen.  "This place has a big kitchen!" Ruby said, excitedly. Ruby loved to cook, so Weiss got a place with a large kitchen. "Got it just for you, since I know you love cooking." Weiss said. "I wanna cook, but I'm too full to eat anymore right now." Ruby said. The kitchen was painted Red and White, with roses painted on the walls. There was a deep freezer and a sink by the window. "Will that freeze the pipes?" Ruby asked Weiss, pointing at the freezer. "No, it shouldn't." Weiss said. Moving on to the next room, it was a library with a desk in the middle and a large window behind the desk. The shelves had all sorts of books and trinkets on them. The desk had a computer and a framed picture of team RWBY. "Whoa! This room looks cool!" Ruby said, amazed on just how many books and stuff there was in the room. "Well, I did have people put some things in here for us." Weiss told Ruby. Ruby then walked over to the desk and looked in the main drawer and when she looked inside she saw a picture of her mother holding her. Surprised, she put her hand over her mouth and tears started to roll down her face. Weiss ran over to her and hugged her, seeing she picture. "It's okay, Ruby. Don't be sad, I'm here too." Weiss said, trying to comfort her. Dropping the picture, Ruby hugged her back. "It's just that I haven't seen a picture of her with me, like ever." Ruby told Weiss while trying to hold back more tears. "Well, I'll get it framed if you want me to." Weiss promised Ruby. Ruby looked Weiss in the eyes, and Weiss wiped away her tears. "I would love that, please." Ruby told Weiss. "Lets keep moving!" Weiss said. Moving on, the next room was the Dining room. "I love the table!" Ruby said. "Well, I did take it from my father's house!" Weiss said, laughing afterwards. The next room was the Living Room. It had a big TV, a large couch, a chair in the corner, a fireplace, and a custom made painting of Ruby and Weiss in the cafe. It, too, was painted Red and White with Roses painted on the walls. "This room looks pretty good! I love the painting!" Ruby said. "Snow painted it for us, actually." Weiss said. "Well next time I see her, I'll tell her she's pretty damn good!" Ruby said. Making it back to the front door, Ruby turned to Weiss. "Well, upstairs or downstairs?" Ruby asked Weiss. "Doesn't matter to me, you pick." Weiss said. "How long can going downstairs take?" Ruby asked. As they walked downstairs, a smell that Ruby instantly remembered hit them. "Ugh, a Wine cellar. In a few years, this place will be good. But right now, I don't really like this room. Don't get me wrong, it looks good. It's just that..." "I know, Qrow. But, there's a switch that opens up a room. It's a sort of workshop for our weapons and stuff." Weiss said, stopping Ruby. "Where's the switch?" Ruby asked. Weiss then pointed to a barrel. "Over there. Go ahead, give it a try." Weiss said. Ruby walked over to the barrel, looking around for any clues. Eventually, she pushed down on the knob that makes the wine pour, which opens up the room. "Woah, cool!" Ruby said in amazement, looking into the workshop. "What's this?" Ruby said, picking up a card that she was sure she had seen before. "That's the car key." Weiss said. "Wait, we own a car?" Ruby asked excitedly. "Well duh! How else would we get from here to the city?" Weiss said. Closing the secret room, the two headed back upstairs, then went to the 2nd floor. "I wonder which one the bedroom is. Maybe the one over there?" Ruby asked, pointing to the end of the hallway. Opening the door, Ruby was right, It was the bedroom. "Can we change out of these dresses now, please?" Ruby asked Weiss. "Sure! I know you're probably tired, too. Get some sleep, I'm gonna keep looking around." Weiss told Ruby. Walking over to the closet, Ruby opened it up revealing her mother's cloak. "Weiss?" Ruby said with tears starting to drip from her eyes again. "Yes Ru..." Weiss stopped before she could finish, seeing Ruby holding her mom's cloak. "Why is this here?" Ruby asked. "I... I don't know where they got it. Are you okay?" Weiss asked Ruby. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm gonna sleep with this on tonight." Ruby told Weiss. "Well, I'm going to go look for a bathroom now. Be back in a few. If you've already fell asleep, I'll lie down with you." Weiss said. "Love you!" Weiss told Ruby as she walked out of the room. Wiping the tears from her eyes, she put her mom's cloak on the bed, and changed into her pajamas. "Damn it, I need new pajamas now too! These are too small." Ruby said, still a little sad. Her pants now were barely to her ankles, and her tank top was right at her belly button. Her mask still fit, though. Putting on her mom's cloak, she threw her wedding dress into the closet and closed it. The wood floor was cold on Ruby's feet, so she quickly jumped into bed and wrapped her mom's cloak around her, which was surprisingly warm. A few minutes passed, and Weiss came back into the room, waking Ruby back up from the light sleep she was in. "Weiss, come to bed, please. It's late and I'm sure your cold." Ruby asked. "Yeah, just gotta change. Be just a minute!" Weiss said, quickly changing into her pajamas. Quickly getting into bed, she looked at Ruby, and said "Goodnight Ruby, I love you." The two then quickly went to sleep, dreaming about probably each other and their new life.
