ALL THE TENSION WAS RELEASED IN THIS CHAPTER XD
IM WRITING THIS AT SCHOOL.
I'M NOT USED TO HAVING TO PRESS SHIFT+ENTER TO GET THE SENTENCES REALLY CLOSE XDSo much caps lock.
Lul.
.'.'.'.'.Seto's POV:
It's the weekend.
'Ugh.'
I lay sprawled out on my bed, contemplating if I should practice my spells, or read one of my lore books for the 267th time.
I glance sideways at my wall of books.
"No thank you."
I whisper aloud, not really caring if people think I'm crazy for talking to my books.I look over at my door, and wonder if I have an excuse to be productive today.
I frown slightly.
'Nope.'
I sigh, loudly, and glance at the binder Brice looked through.
"Apparently that's his artwork in there..." I whisper suspiciously.
I laugh bitterly.
"I don't even know why I kept anything he gave to me." I pause for a bit.
"Especially those."I glance over at them again.
'Nah.'
I blow a tuft of hair from my face, and look out my window.
I groan, hearing my mother call my name.
"Yes?" I call out, hoping she wouldn't ask me to 'Come here'.
I stare at my door, when I hear the stairs creak under my mother's weight. It's a couple more seconds until I watch the door squeaks open, and she's sitting on the corner of my bed; near my right foot.
She smiles brightly.
"So, how's the Brice situation?" She ask with a bit too much joy to be natural.
I roll my eyes playfully.
"But whatever do you mean, mother?" I whisper, sitting up.
She groans like I thought she would, seeing as I was acting innocent and dumb.
She hits my crossed leg."I mean you have another chance with Brice and you're totally neglecting it! Do SOMETHING. You can't just shrug it off like it never happened!"
I snuff in displeasure.
"You're a nub, mom." I mumble, monotonously.
She just sighs, and walks out my room.
"Cook your own dinner then..." She whispers, tauntingly.
I coil my nose in a disgruntled manner, and stick my tongue out.She acts like I totally can't hear her.
I let out an airy laugh; before standing up with a lazy grunt.
"I'M GOING FOR A WALK!" I yell, running down the stairs, grabbing my purple hoodie and slamming the door shut when I hear her shout: "DO WHAT YOU WANT! JUST COME HOME BEFORE A TIME YOU THINK I'LL CALL THE COPS AT!"
Once again I find myself blowing a tuft of hair out my face.
But at least this time I'm outside.
I think of getting Tyler, and doing something with him; but then I remember I'm socially awkward and don't want to deal with meeting his parents by choice.
"Jesus I'm the worst person to be." I whisper, watching my breath turn into a foggy cloud of mist.
"I hate winter." I grumble, annoyed at the clinging and unforgiving cold.I pass by a park, a couple abandoned houses, maybe a few forests, a giant lake, and a library.
I stop at the library."Couldn't hurt... Right...?" I whisper, pushing the door open.
I look around the room, a checkout desk, tons of books, a hallway leading somewhere, a connected room with more books and computers...
It's actually a freaking STACKED library.
For a small town.
I was just expecting a room with a couple shelves of books, maybe a computer or two.
But NOPE.
There's like 17 shelves in the main room, 12 in the computer room, 14 or something in the room that hallway leads to, and about 15 computers.
Jesus.
For such a tiny town, this place has a huge budget!I wandered around the library for a bit, until I heard familiar voices talking.
I casted a short-term and weak spell that let me see through the bookshelves, and my suspicions were confirmed.
Adam was talking with that headphone kid named Ty or whatever.
"Yeah, I know! He totally likes him..." I heard Ty whisper.
I saw Adam put a hand over his mouth to hush his laughter.
"S-seriously?! He likes that kid?! Out of all the girls hounding him... He chooses a guy! And THAT kid?!" He whispers a but harshly.
Ty scoffs.
"I think it's cute! Plus, there could be something he's not telling us about that kid."
Adam snuffs with annoyance.
"If it helps you, I saw him hound that kid off the roof of the school, and they just sat there talking and doing homework like old best friends."
Ty's face lights up.
"That's right!" He nearly yells.
An armada of shushes swarm though the library, and my spell wears off, but I listen to them talk still.
Because they're talking about me.
"-Oops... Anyways, aren't they both from New York?"Realization sweeps into Adam's voice.
"Ooohhhhh... I know where you're going with this..." He whispers.
Ty giggles slightly.
"Are you sure you do?" He whispers.
Adam doesn't say anything, so I'm guessing he nodded.
"Yeaup..." He whispers airily.
I get a feeling that they're standing up, and I quickly tiptoe out of the library.I cough a little bit.
"Well, that was awkward..." I whisper quietly, staring at my shoes as I listened to the frost-bitten leaves crunch under my converses.
I hear faint whispers from behind me, and slightly turn my head to see Adam and Ty saying 'goodbye' each other.
I sigh, watching my breath fog, and continue walking until that Ty kid taps my shoulder.
"Hey. Seto, right?" He whispers, staring at his breath as it floats upwards in a foggy mass.
I let go of an airy chuckle.
"Yeah."He pauses for a bit, probably going over the conversation he had in the library in his head; pondering which question to ask me first.
"D- Excuse me, this might be rude but- Do you know Brice?" He whispers, casting his glance over at me.
I sigh.
"Yeah." I mutter, looking straight ahead, burying my nose into my hoodie.
He purses his lips.
"I mean, like, Know. On a Personal level. Ya know?"
I scoff. "I know what you mean, Ty. Calm down. And, yes; I do know him. On a VERY personal level." I purr, trying to get him to leave me alone so I can try to find out why they were talking about me.
And why Ty was questioning me about Brice all of a sudden."Oh, um... Cool. Did you guys know each other back in New York?" He quizzes.
I freeze mid-walk.
I clear my throat, and stare at the frost-bathed snow.
It's a couple seconds before I recover from LaLa-Land, and I quietly squeak: "Yeah... U-uhm... We did..."
Ty raises his brow, but keeps it to himself.I continue to walk after a minute, and he trails behind me.
"So...? Were you guys like; really close friends...?" He mutters, stopping; waiting for my reply.
I freeze, and turn around to face Ty slowly, glaring coldly.
I sigh, and let my gaze soften, as Ty steps back in something close to fear.
"You want the..." I pause, and sigh again.
"TRUTH?"
His face lights up.
"Of course I do! I- uh... If you don't mind..." He stutters, and I feel excitement and innocent curiosity radiate off him.
I smile at his innocence.
"We were... I guess you could say: something along the lines of-" I sniff a bit, trying to warm my cold nose. "Lovers." I scoff, avoiding Ty's gaze by staring over at the cars passing by.It's a couple seconds of cold hard silence.
Then there's and ear-splitting squeal.
"OHMYGOSH!!!"
Then he stops, and puts his hands to his hips.
"Brice still totally likes you, you know that right?"
My eyes widen a bit.
'Pfftt... Nahhh...'
But all that comes out if my mouth is a:
"R-really..?"
He just nods, and stares at me defiantly, hands still located firmly on his hips.
"I think you should go after him! Drop hints!"
I roll my eyes.
"Why do you care so much?" I snuff.
He scoffs.
"I think it's Cute! Plus, I'm kinda the reason Jason and Tyler are together, Sooo~" He mutters, defensively.I blush at the thought of me trying to flirt.
As Brice totally falling for it.
Because he still likes me.
"Thanks, Ty!" I shout, casting a teleporting spell, leaving him standing there, looking a little confused.
.'.'.'.'.'.
