Okay I'm actually really excited it feels so good to be writing in this book again I hope you guys like these new revamped chapters because I'm really digging writing them :D
Tbh that last chapter was the most fun I've had writing in this book in a while.

"Brice!" Mitch shouted, skittering wildly down the hallway, his sneakers letting out a viciously loud squeak as he braked himself on the linoleum tiles.
"Dude, what?" Brice looked up at him, obviously unimpressed at his little stunt. Brice's eyes tracked the large skid mark left on the tiles, and felt both mildly impressed and slightly remorseful for whoever had to scrub that off the floor.
"Well, aren't you excited? Don't get too wild, now." Mitch quipped, obviously in a much better mood than Brice. Brice felt himself groan, before he slapped himself on the forehead.
"Whoa now, don't be so handsy!"
Brice scowled up at Mitch, who quickly got the point.
"Right, right, we're getting a new kid." Mitch grumbled as he readjusted his bookbag strap, Brice catching a 'who pissed in your Cheerios Jesus fuck' out of the mumbles. He let himself smile at that, but only slightly. Brice hummed in response, because they got new kids a lot, so it never really phased him. The last one they got was a lovely girl named Grace, who had large curly hair that shone in a sweet almond brown, and a voice so gentle that if you even cleared your throat, you wouldn't be able to hear her.
"You're from New York, right?" The question startled him slightly, since nobody really asked him questions about his life before he moved here. Instead of dodging it, though, he just nodded solemnly. Boy, does he wish he dodged it.
"Well, so is the new guy! Maybe you might know him?" Brice let his jaw slack. Mitch just opened up a whole can of worms he didn't even want to think about. Brice swallowed his pride, and his lunch, as well, before even trying to respond.
"Well, ah..." Brice gulped, his words getting caught in his throat. "Yeah, that would be..."
Brice nearly fainted when he attempted to finish the sentence. His brain was on over-drive. It was extremely rare that someone he knew could move to the same exact state, same exact town, same exact school, but that didn't stop him from freaking out. Then a thought that derailed his thought train suddenly appeared. What if it was Seto? He could feel himself start to sweat nervously, and maybe even pale in the face. He started to laugh awkwardly.
"Crazy..."
Mitch just raised his brow, seemingly suspicious of something he had said. Brice chuckled quietly once more, hoping that his smile didn't look too off.
Mitch cleared his throat, and gave Brice this sort of sideways judgmental look that made Brice's blood turn to ice. It was honestly really unnerving, the way Mitch stared at people when he knew they were bullshitting. Mitch opened his mouth, his chest heaving like he was about to say something, before he just closed his mouth and rolled his eyes dramatically, trying to hide his smile.
"It's like you're some sort of preppy cheerleader, Mitch."
Brice felt himself jump up out of his skin, and he nearly laughed when he saw Mitch had an extremely similar reaction.
Jerome stood not too far behind Mitch, smiling gently at him, which Mitch quickly reciprocated. Brice couldn't help but snort at how couple-y these two were, because they bickered and blushed at one another like a married couple.
"Oh my god, please, just make out already!" Brice quipped, playfully exasperated. Mitch made a face of aback shock, a large blush spreading over his face, neck, and ears, as Jerome spluttered in embarrassment. He quickly regained his composure, though, and slung Mitch over his shoulder as he walked away with a sigh, leaving Mitch to look utterly defeated and he banged his fists on his shoulder, going off on him about not being a little girl, and being able to handle himself. Brice distantly heard Jerome laugh quietly, and Mitch join in a couple seconds later.

*Takes every old idea from this chapter*
*Barely uses it for an outline*
*Punts remaining shit into the trash like a pro*
NO MORE DOUCHEBAGGY HOMOPHOBIC JEROME, BUT A LOT MORE OF JEROME BEING DODGY AND SEXUALLY CONFUSED. BECAUSE HOMOPHOBE JEROME IS NO FUN.
Also I totally think them being adorable at the end of this chapter is so much better than how it originally was because, like, it's them being adorable.
Also I am very sliced between leaving Jerome as a full on fucking bacca or like just changing him into human to avoid the complications aha
ALSO NO MORE FUCKING TUXEDO THIS IS HIGH SCHOOL *punts tux into the trash as well*
Like I said, I use the original chapters as outlines, so if they turn out really short it's because there's not much I could do with the adding details and fixing everythin' and shit :3
Oh, forgot to mention I was having a crisis where it says "Mitch raised his brow in confusion" or somethin' like that because I desperately wanted to put like "Because totally nothing at all that he was doing was suspicious or really really rEALLY fuckin awkward ahahah that would be weird oh I mean new phone who dis" Idk man I was just feelin' it aha ouo
*Picks up new chapter*
*Feeds it to you guys*
Sorry if the updates are slow motivation isn't very plentiful when it comes to me uwu
