Erwin looked at the body lying before him, his eyes scouring every detail of his perfectly toned chest. From the smallest of scars to the largest of them, every one of them telling a story. His hands moved towards the repaired tissue, his hands running their fingers along them. Every time the tips of his fingers touched one, he felt his heart break. His face began to turn a bright red and his waterlines begain to fill, threatening to erupt any second. He felt Levi's eyes on him before he put his head down, thankful for the darkness surrounding them. His blonde hair covered his eyes, shielding them from the intimidating grey orbs that were Levi's eyes. Erwin leaned over, gently pressing his lips against the scars that covered his body, "no one as beautiful as you deserves to live through such pain," he felt his waterlines finally erupt, his tears falling on Levi's chest and, suddenly, he was angry. He was angry at the world for making someone as perfect as Levi suffer as he had done so. Levi gasped at Erwins sudden action, confused as to what he was doing and why he felt the man shake.
"Scars come from whatever demon it is that we have fought," Levi said, his hands caressed the golden locks of the smaller male as he soothed him, "our demons have becom the Titans. We fight for our freedom, even if it means we become nothing but a body filled with scars or even our own lives." He looked down at Erwin, gazing at the icy blue eyes that were filled with love, lust, hatred, and anger. "Home has always been nothing but a pen," Levi continued, "all we've ever been was cattle, preparing ourselves for nothing but being eaten by those monsters we share our world with."
Erwin listened intently, soaking up every word that escaped his lovers' lips and storing them in a part of his brain that he knew he would visit often. He felt two strong arms pull him closer towards the warm body he was lying on top of, "I have said that I will eradicate this world from those things," he looked deep into Erwins blue eyes, silently begging for the tears to stop streaming from his waterlines, "and I promise you that I will."
The two layed in silence and in darkness. A silence so deep, it deafened them and darkness so black, it blinded them. Neither of them could hear the rapid beating of each others' hearts, nor could they see just how much they had longed for each other. The silence became their blanket, shielding them from any outside force and the darkness protected them from demons on a search. They were both so weightless that they could not feel the thick trunk lying beneath them. A feather seemed to have weighed less in the moment. They could not feel the weight of their breaths collide with each others' skin or the strong breeze that threatened to push them off the thick branch. All either of them cared for was the other person laying before them and how their eyes showed them everything about each other. The way their eyes opened the doors to their past and begged to have been there to defeat the demon who came to pester one another only to have been unable to. Scorning themselves for having allowed the other to have lived through such pain.
"I have made a promise. A promise i swear to live up to. This promise is just for you," he stared at the leaves above his head, hair scattered across his face. He felt his heart clench in agaony as he felt Erwins shoulders shake and heard him whimper. Levi grabbed his face between his palms and brought their faces closer together. Their noses almost touched and they could feel their breath on each others skin. Erwin closed his eyes before they could come into contact with the pools of grey that were Levi's.
"Hey, Erwin," he said, begging for his lover to look at him, "look at me, please." Erwin held onto the tears that filled his waterlines as he looked at a face that held no expression but pair of grey orbs told him differently. They were filled with pain and hurt, almost as if someone had dropped the wight of the world onto this person, just this one, and left them to deal with it alone. The only doors that never seemed to have been opened by anyone else had just creaked open, just barely scratching the surface of the real cause to his pain. Erwin felt as though he could peek into his deepest and most darkest secrets, the exact ones that could tell you just why he was the person he was now. The very secrets that could answer the many questions that ran through every person who had ever met this man's mind. The secrets that could explain his need for having everything be clean or ones that could tell you why he would never smile. The type that may lead you to finding some of his worst secrets, the ones that told you why he felt nothing instills discpline like pain. Erwin knew that there had to be a picture as to why he was like this.
