A man pointed at the two of you, whith a scrutinizing glare, he didn't like the fact that you were "undermining the hunters exam". His briefcase swung around as he ran, breathing heavily the mans arms shook slightly, he looked to be sweating and his face was all red. You could only imagine how hard it was running in a suit.
"What?" Killua asked annoyed, staring at the man, somehow still balancing on the skateboard. As you scrunched closer to him, hugging your brothers waist close to you, and trying to ignore the older looking mans voice.
"That's cheating, this is a physical test you can't- just- he started speaking, pointing towards the two of you with his pointer finger , waving it around as if he was a teacher scolding a misbehaving student. But he was was soon interrupted when the young green boy spoke up against him.
"No it's not" your new friend, gon spoke up. Stopping the man from continueing on, effectively shutting him up for the moment, but it didn't last long, for he just opened his mouth again to question his friend.
"Who's side are you on gon?" Leorio asked the boy, your head perked up at the name "gon", that was your friend from earlier! You hadn't got to speak to him and killua would probably let you, now that he was there.
"Mr. satotz said we only need to follow him, it isn't a physical test, y/n and the other guy are fine!" Gon spoke to Leorio, acknowledging your presence behind killua.
"Tch, stupid kid" Leorio voiced quietly, giving up and running ahead slowly to kurapika. Killua just looked at you with a glance that pretty much said "if you want to" and you jumped off of the skateboard, next to gon.
"How old are you?" Killua asked gon, looking at you who was now running directly next to him. Guess all the running around the mountain with illumi payed off, huh?
"Oh, I'm 12!" Gon replied excitedly, smiling at the fluffy haired zoldyck, for some reason killua had figured that you and gon were very similar... personality wise at least. It's quite the fortunate coincidence that you all were the same age isn't it?
Killua, now liking the boy a little more, jumped off of his skateboard, swinging it up into the air and catching it in one single move. This was amazing in your eyes, when did he have the time to learn that? It was so cool!
"Whooahh!" You and gon simultaneously yelled out, killua just smirked and started running with the two of you. Gon introduced himself and smiled at killua, then killua back around, and BAM. Now the three of you wil be best friends for all of eternity.
"So why do you want to be a hunter gon?"you asked him, looking ahead for the end of the tunnel you were in, and not seeing anything, that probably means your going to be running for a long time, might have to take your shoes off to be more comfortable.
"I want to find my dad! He left me to be a hunter so I want to know what was so great about it!" He spoke, awfully cheerfully for someone who is litterally speaking about being abandoned. You and killua looked at him questionably, wondering if this dude was actually serious, it was kinda nice that he would be so motivated over nothing, shows character.
"That so cool, o bet your dad is gonna be proud when he finally meets you!" You hyped him up, smiling widely back at him, while killua looked at the two of you happily, he only ever really had you as a friend, it was nice expanding a little.
"Oh HEY LEORIO KURAPIKA THESE ARE MY FRIENDS!" Gon yelled out through the passageway, many contestants gave the three of you wierd glances, but you ignored them, instead pushing your attention too the two guys running ahead, one was blonde and wearing a sort of dress like clothing, and the other was the sweaty suit guy from earlier.
The two of them turned their heads towards gons projecting voice, immediately seeing you and killua trailing behind.
"Who's this? Gon I told you to stay away from strangers here" mamapika spoke up, eyeing you and killua, you just stared back out at him. Smiling ever so slightly, kurapika then seemed that you were trustworthy. Your smile was genuine, and he had met many fake people in his life, he'd seen smiles of people with malicious intent. Yours was just purely genuine curiosity and happiness.
"I'm y/n!"
"And I'm killua."
You introduced yourself to them, still plastering that smile on your face. You had started to notice the people starting to drop like flies on the side of the Tunnels, many of them breathing heavily and muttering things in defeat. It made you sad that they were going to just be left here, waiting to die, all alone... just, ugh.

(Your POV)
It had been a few hours now, I think maybe 3, I don't know, but I've been speaking to gon for a little while about where his hometown is. Apparently it's a small island called "whale island", I haven't really gotten to leave the house so it's so cool learning about new places!
"And my aunt Mito likes to cook the fish I catch, you should visit some time! After this of course." He said, looking at me. His hair is really spiky, how does it stick out like that? I bet he gels it or something.
"How is your hair like that, it sticks straight up?" Really though, how does ones hair stay up and not fall flat after a few hours it wou- oh no, who did I just bump into, oh no oh no oh no oh no oh no
"Oh hello little girl, you really should watch where your going~" the clown guy from earlier said in a really wierd way, killua pointed out him when he did the pretty flower thing. Oh killuas gonna kill me for talking to him.
"Oh, sorry" I said and backed up as far as I could, when I say that I mean I ran away, back to kurapika and Leorio. The hisoka man just laughed and went back to running. Really? How did I manage to stray off so far, MID CONVERSATION TOO! Jeezus
That's when I zoned back in and grabbed onto kurapika hand, the ground was... rumbling? Why would it shake? Oh wait, that's a door opening, I think it means we've made it past the last exam, I hope I guess.
"Y/n why'd you grab my hand?" Kurapika asked, succesfully taking me out of my thoughts, I don't really know why, I guess I just did that whenever I felt scared with my family.
"Oh sorry, it's just a reflex... heh" I spoke back and just shoved my hand back into my pocket, I cannot believe I just did that. Really y/n?! Just grab a strangers hand why don't cha.
"No it is fine"
We walked out into the swamp like area, and killua and gon were waiting there, I heard they raced to the finish, no wonder they got here so early. The gate closed behind us and I looked back at the stone and iron gate going down, someone was stuck in there, asking for us to wait, but it didn't. That's... so sad. He was just kinda abandoned.
"Welcome to the Milsy wetlands, be cautious where, for the many creatures will attempt to trick you into becoming their meal for the day"

Ok so I'm a little scared to officially say this on one of the bigger stories, or to my family. But hey! No one really reads this one so let's go. I officially am bisexual without questioning it, yay me :)
