The Midnight duel

Your POV

Me and Ronald snuck out of the dorm and Harry followed, as he wanted to see a wizard's duel.

When we got to the common room I saw Hermione and Rita vibing on the couch "You! Go back to sleep" Ron shouted

Hermione and Rita followed us out and said "You mustn't go wandering in the corridors at night, what if you get caught"

"We will be okay" Harry said. I wanted turn back but the portrait hole is now shut and the fat lady was gone. "Shit, we're stuck now" Rita said 

We all went to the trophy room to encounter Mrs. Norris "That's Filch's cat, were dead-" Ron said

"Oh move over, Alohamora" Hermione said with her wand at the door

We then came in an encounter with a three headed dog.

Hermione POV

A three headed dog shows up and I scream and bolt and so does the rest of us.

"What do they think theyr'e playing at keeping a thing like that here" Ron asks

"It was standing on a trapdoor you idiot, it must be gaurding something, now if you two don't mind I'm going to bed, before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed, or worse, E X P E L L E D"

I then realized that what I said was out of order and said "Night Rita, Night Y-" I turned to Rita in fear and realized, "We left Y/N with the dog"

Rita and I ran as fast as possible to the room with the dog and saw him playing with him "Y/N thank Merlin you're okay" I said hugging him, but the dog had slobbered all over him "You need a shower" I said.

"I know" He said "Night" And he left.

Merlin he's so cute.

Your POV

 It has been a few weeks since I encountered the dog, and it's September 19th, Hermione's birthday. I got her a gift, a little locket with her name on it.

I'm sitting in the common room waiting for Hermione to get up. When she did, I shouted "Happy Birthday!"

"Holy Shit, you scared me, how did you know?" She said

"Don't worry about it, here's your present"

"You Didn't have to-"

"I wanted to."

She opened the box and saw the gift and immediately engulfed me in a hug in happy tears "I love it, it must have cost a fortune."

"I'm glad you like it" I said grinning like an idiot. I also put a little birthday hat on her head, which made her smile cutely.

She hugged me and said, "How did you know my birthday"

"I owled your parents" I said rubbing the back of my neck. Here were my letters.

Mr. and Mrs. Granger

I am Y/N Ravenclaw, You're daughter Hermione's Best friend. I really enjoy her presence and I need to ask some things. One, when is her birthday, two, what gifts would she like. You have raised a great daughter, even though the people at her primary school, as she told me, bullied her. I hope this gets to you in time.

I am glad you have taken such an interest in our daughter. Her birthday is September 19th, and she will like whatever you give her. If anyone bullies our daughter, you reserve the right to kick their ass. Hermione told us about you, and how you play that sport "Quidditch" which sounds fun.

That reminds me, McGonagall is supposed to provide me with a broom soon "YOU What!" Hermione said.

"Relax, they've taken quite a liking to me"

"Oh good" She snuggled up to me on the couch. Rita walked down and said "Are you two lovebirds going to breakfast"

"RITA" We said in unison.

We went to breakfast and and an owl dropped a package on the table shaped like a broom. Mcgonagall smiled and Rita, Hermione and I opened it. It was a Nimbus 2000 "Bloody hell, this is one of the best broom models" I said.

"Go on Y/N try it after breakfast" Rita said. Just then Lavender Brown walked up and said to Hermione "Can I talk to Granger real quick"

Hermione POV 

"Okay" I said. Me and Brown walked to the corner and she said "Why are you trying to steal my man"

"Who Y/N?" I said "No Lucius Malfoy, Who the Fuck do you think"

"Your Man?" I said chuckling

"DO YOU THINK I'M FUCKING JOKING" She said pinning me to the wall and slapping me and punching me. I was then in tears "No, I'm sorry, but I don't think he likes y-you"

"Who does he like, *Chuckles* You, more than me"

"MAYBE HE WOULD IF YOU WEREN'T BEATING THE SHIT OUT OF HIS BEST FRIEND, Now *sniffles* I just- I don't kn-know" My whole chest and stomach were bruised now.

"That's your story" She said landing one final punch to my chest. She was about to beat me up more. That was until I heard a feminine voice shout "Locommotor Mortis"

Lavender hopped over to her table and the voice revealed itself to be Pansy "Hermione Are you okay"

"Y-yeah *sniffles* I n-need to see Y/N P-please"

"Hold on a sec, Oi, Brown" Lavender looked at her "Take two of these and call me in the morning" She said. By "Two of these" she means the two middle fingers she is sticking up.

She Helped me up and said "He went to the common room"

"Ok-kay th-thanks"

My eyes burned with tears as I walked to the common room clutching my chest and and stomach. When I arrived I saw him cuddling his cat "Hermione What happened" He said.

I explained everything to him apart from, well why she beat me up. I couldn't make eye contact "Look at me" He said and I did so "You are strong and people care about you"

"Thanks Y/N" I said

"Now do you need to see Madam Pomfrey"

"No she would just tell me off for fighting, can you heal me instead? You seem pretty good with spells. Little did I know how awkward it would be.

"Okay well you will need to lift up your shirt"

"How much"

"Below your chest"

I unbuttoned my robe and lifted up the shirt I had underneath. Fortunately we were the only people in the room. This is not what I expected from my 12th birthday.

He felt each bruise and then waved his wand and muttered an incantation. I was highly flustered at him touching under my shirt. Wait, Hermione don't think like this, are these, what are they called hormones that you get around my age...

Y/N POV

After that... thing, we headed out to the pitch. I jumped on my broom and took off. Hermione released the snitch and watched with Rita, Ron, and Harry. I zoomed across the pitch, squinting, trying to see a little golden ball.

I eventually saw a little gold thing shining. I zoomed toward it real fast and caught it.
